Agree. I can't fathom this team having enough capability inside to do much better than that bu it should be entertaining. This team will be lucky to go 500 in conference but the experience gained will be monumental for next season.

National media picked them to finished 10th in the B1G so it depends on where you're looking...Media and fans keep saying this. Why? I don't see it.

Tap the breaks a bit, they have not played anyone outside of Mizzou.
Yeah I agree. The only game I have watched this year was our second when we played really awful. It sounds like the team has gelled since then and we need some confidence boosting wins like we had last night.
I think the Iowa game will be a good test. They aren't showing it, but think Iowa has more talent and depth than they have had in a while. For a young team like we have it could go anyway depending on what team shows up to play.
Lot of games left to play and a lot of development and learning still needs to occur.

#20 in their power rankings.
Predicting a 19-11 (9-9) record. Including a win over Kansas at Hilton.
Sounds like 1. a lot of respect for the program that's been built, and 2. someone who hasn't seen the boys play this year yet. I like reading it though!
That’s the thing- the Big 12 is the toughest conference. We could be a top-50 or top-60 team and not be the “better” team in any game. In 2010-11 we lost a ton of close games which resulted in a horrible conference record despite not being that bad. I’m guessing that this year will be similar.Oklahoma went 5-13 in conference last year yet finished in a respectable position on KenPom (don't have the exact number but believe between 60 and 70). We are going to project similarly in conference this year at 5 or 6 wins and will likely finish as a team that is better than our record shows. However, an attainable short term goal for this team should be to finish December 4-0 in the non-conference. If you do that, you're at least in a position to where if you get better/a little lucky and win 8 in the big 12 and 1 or 2 in KC you're right there for dance consideration. Will be crucial to get a couple wins the first few games against KState, Texas, and @Ok State before @KU, Baylor, @TCU.
To be fair, I'd have my doubts on just about any team being able to win regularly if they shoot 2 for 15 from three hahaWe have been shooting well from deep over last 5 games. Can we win a game when we go 2 for 15 from outside the arc? I have my doubts. Last year's team scored enough points off turnovers and dribble penetration to win some of those games.
