Summer Theme Song

I went to one....actually went to see Saving Abel, and Seether....but the women that Nickelsuck drew in were exceptional. I guess if you are not into creeping some of the finest soccer mom's this country has to offer, then go see someone else.......:wink:

Pretty much the same here. Went to see Bon Jovi at Soldier Field and Nickelback opened.

I'm halfway through it right now, there's some songs on here that'll get some serious airplay. Of course, there are just as many that are too vulgar to ever see the radio too.

His are the only CDs I've ever bought the day they came out. The man's a genius.

back on topic...

I really don't mind summer tunes but I just can't stand Ke$ha. She looks too much like John Travolta. And she can't sing.

Let me get this straight...you just made the eek face for someone liking Katy Perry, but go on to say that Nickelback is GREAT in concert and that you are a fan of theirs? Where is negative rep? Sometimes I think Nickleback creates their songs the same way that Family Guy creates their jokes: Manatees.

Since my summer mainly include hanging out on the pontoon with the wife and kids we listen to the kids' playlist that we helped my 4 year old pick out the music for (with some direction of course). Surprisingly he put together a pretty good one, we pretty much listen to it over and over since they like listening to it.

He's got a laid back taste in music. It is hilarious to watch him and our one year old daughter bob their heads with the beat to the Bob Marley songs.

This is a pretty good list really. Anything Bob is always good. The Wailers will be at Simon Estes on July 1st.

For other older stuff I'll agree with others that Tom Petty has always been a summertime favorite of mine. Sublime's 40 oz to Freedom CD is a great summer album as well, especially like the songs Badfish and Don't Push.

Excellent choices! Any 311, anytime is good. Except for Come Original. By far my least favorite 311 song. Here are some good summer songs from 311:

He talks about "all you need is a pair of shades and an ice cold beer". Nothing better then that in the summer.

These go with the classic 311, DMB, jack johnson and sublime song's as well as any other summer themed song.
