SOURCE: Jameel McKay's knee is structurally sound

a 1 to 6 seed in midwest or south is best bet at final 4. we pretty much have that wrapped up so we need to see if we can get to a good seed in midwest + st louis 1st round draw. all decisions by coahing staff should be balanced based on what gives the best shot at final 4.

if u beat tam and win big 12 tourney and get the worst 2 seed and get stuck out west with a hobbly mckay you would have been better off with a not so hobbly mckay and a 6 seed in the midwest.

the bigger discussion if mckay is still having issues come tourney time is if you sit him for the b12 tourney. i would if i thought losing on thursday gave me a good chance at 3 seed in midwest or south. in fact i may throw the game.

If he's still having issues come tourney time, then his knee probably isn't getting worse and isn't getting better. Playing the the entire non conf and conf season hasn't made his knee worse. So it's unlikely that playing the B12 tourney will make his knee worse.

Give that man some cortizone shots

Signed,
Varsity Head Coach Bud Kilmer

This is the first thing I thought of as well.

I'm no knee expert, but I would I assume they were giving cortisone shots in Varsity Blues. The difference being is, I would assume Lance's knee had structural damage, and Kilmer was giving the shots to milk him for everything.

Does cortisone cause damage of there's to ligament tears?

Typically reduces inflammation and pain

Tell that to the coaches who get a bonus for winning the Big 12 tournament.

if it means being rested and ready for WVU, yes. Keeping the winning streak going against the Big12 is more important. Losing to a #5 team on the road is not bad.

I highly doubt Prohm pulls a Popovich at this point. I am just glad all these fans with this loser mentality have zero input into the actual decisions.

Its not irrelevant at all. The fact we are playing a non-con road game against a top 5 team makes it easier than if we were playing KU or OU at home.

Ok, maybe not irrelevant, but if McKay should sit for injury reasons vs A&M he should sit no matter who we play.

I can understand resting McKay, or at least playing less minutes than normal. But JFC we should not rest most of the team, that's just plain stupid. These games still matter, no other team tanks non con games.

I'll get blasted for this, but I think we should sit most of the team for A&M. Can't risk injury in a game that doesn't hurt to lose and doesn't gain much to win.

The only knock on the teams resume aside from the bad UNI loss is no great road win. This game is every bit as much an opportunity as playing at Norman and at the Phog. This is a huge game.

long game vs short game is the discussion; long game is get isu to final four. short game is beat a&m.

Disagree completely. The ONLY focus for the team right now should be to win the conference. Once that is out of reach, the ONLY focus of the team should be to win the next game. I would be surprised and a little disappointed if CSP and the rest of the team were filling in their brackets now.

Glad you're not in charge in any way, shape or form.

And good luck getting a good matchup in future Big 12 vs. Conference 'A' contests if we were to purposely rest uninjured players.

What??? He's had a banged up leg for a couple weeks now and we are worried about whats going to happen 7 weeks from now? And now we're talking about throwing games on purpose.

Some of the things people suggest on here are ridiculous.

Cincinnati will certainly be a good or really good road win, particularly if they start pulling out the close ones. Colorado is a good neutral court win.
