So close to being a solid team.

I'm just gonna drop by and say my thoughts. Yeah the game sucked, and yeah moral victories are for losers. But Sam Richardson played one of the best games I've seen in a long time. After throwing a pick 6, he comes back and leads the offense to a much needed answer. 1;19 left, leads a hell of a 2 min drill and acts like a vet out there. Clones played ahrd, just gotta learn how to close.

If you look where Iowa State is in the conference standings and where Rhoads is in terms of pay compared to the rest of the conference are in pretty much the same spot.

Where does he stand in terms of length of contract compared to other coaches in the big 12?

If we're never going to consistently be average because we're Iowa State, we need not do 10 year contracts. Get a daily wage guy to coach.

Does ******* down your leg against a bad team qualify as a moral victory? I find myself saying yes, given my expectation for this program under Rhoads. Damn, we have been conditioned. A few more beat downs by FCS teams and I will feel good about almost beating KU.

I don't necessarily agree with the ten year contract, but that wasn't mentioned until now. What was mentioned was that he gets paid 2 million a year.

I don't see why we should expect a few wins a year. How dare him.
Im more criticizing him for "being fooled twice" how many times in Cyclone Football history has it's fans been "fooled". How many times do you have to be "fooled" before you realize these things happen on a fairly regular basis for Cyclone fans.

Our receiving corps is really coming together. If we can find a replacement for Tom Farniok next season, we should have a fairly prolific passing attack. We had one tonight.

The nice thing for this team is that "being close to a solid team" makes this a top ten ISU team of all time.

Sure, we've lost to every team with a pulse so far, but we were spirited.

He could? Because last I checked he has a team that's 3-4 despite having what's probably better talent than the rest of their conference.
I'm sure he could muster up 2 wins a season sure.

Seasons not over yet. And are you really basing an argument on the idea that we are going to be bad so we should purposefully not make an effort to pay a head coach at market value?

No I was satirizing the guy who said we shouldn't bother to expect a consistent winner at ISU.
