WVU is likely too good for us to beat. Cold hard truth.
Actually, when we played a TX team last year that was actually decent (8-5 with a bowl loss to Oregon), we were right in the game but lost due to inexcusably stupid play (hail mary, anyone?).Last year we wouldn't have even been in this game. If you want to actually discuss the game, by all means please do. If you want to just point out that we lost and our record is poor, most of us have figured that out already.

This TX team is worse. They lost to BYU 41-7 at home. And once again, we lost due to inexcusably stupid play. It's kind of a pattern.
The Texas part applies to us perfectly.

Uhh, I'm pretty sure it been the same story for all 100+ years of ISU football... You are not an ISU fan because you want to cheer for a team that will win many games on a consistent basis.Year after year is the same story. "We were so close to winning these games! We're going to break through."
Fool me once shame on you...fool me twice...
We shouldn't pay our coach 2 million dollars then. Just have people volunteer to coach and play.Uhh, I'm pretty sure it been the same story for all 100+ years of ISU football... You are not an ISU fan because you want to cheer for a team that will win many games on a consistent basis.
I don't see why we should expect a few wins a year. How dare him.Uhh, I'm pretty sure it been the same story for all 100+ years of ISU football... You are not an ISU fan because you want to cheer for a team that will win many games on a consistent basis.

Well if wins don't matter. Why bother even paying the coach. If you look where Iowa State is in the conference standings and where Rhoads is in terms of pay compared to the rest of the conference are in pretty much the same spot.
