Thomas has been good in all the games that there was no hype. He has been bad in all the games with a lot of hype, except for the 2nd half of the BYU game. He also is a defensive liability IMO.
He is averaging 12.8 ppg and shooting 17/34(50%) in games against UNC Wilmington, Texas A&M-CC, UMKC, and Auburn.
He is averaging 6.0 ppg and shooting 9/28(32%) in games against Michigan, BYU, UNI, and Iowa.
Monte is the same way. Playing well in games with no hype and not playing well in games with a lot of hype. He takes great care of the ball, and like someone else said we need a PG that comes off the bench in case Kane needs a blow or gets in foul trouble.
He is averaging 10.8 ppg and shooting 11/23(48%) in games against UNC Wilmington, Texas A&M-CC, UMKC, and Auburn.
He is averaging 3.0 ppg and shooting 4/16(25%) in games against Michigan, BYU, UNI, and Iowa.
Naz on the other hand is playing great in games with little hype, and playing well in games with a lot of hype. He also plays above average defense and he hit big time shots in the Michigan and Iowa games.
He is averaging 11.5 ppg and shooting 16/26(62%) in games against UNC Wilmington, Texas A&M-CC, UMKC, and Auburn.
He is averaging 9.3 ppg and shooting 12/23(52%) in games against Michigan, BYU, UNI, and Iowa.
At this point I think it's a no brainer that Naz should be starting.
