Should Morris Start Over Thomas?

What irritates me about this subject, it seems like all people see is shots. There is more to basketball than shots. The first part of that game ISU came out smoking. And Matt Thomas played almost perfect basketball during that period, made some great passes, the defense was solid all around. There is more to Matt than his shot. It will come, and he probably has been nailing it in practice. He is an unselfish ball player and the other team knows he is a dead-eye three shooter and so they guard him consistently. That opens things up for other players and the whole package is working. Matt is playing on a team with many very good offensive weapons, and he knows it. He is smarter than his critics.

When we came out and ran a play to get him a look he drained it. The rest of the time we mainly have him sit in the corner waiting for a kick out (and Naz stated on the post game with Eric this is by design to help with spacing). So in other words when we run a play to get him involved I think he will be fine, the rest of the time he is the 5th option and helping with spacing.
They have done that before- Matt made it this time.

Starting does not matter. Getting starter minutes does, and when this thread began MT was getting starter minutes. I do not see any of the non-Big Four being at that level. Since this thread began, minutes are becoming more equal.
The comparison to Babb-McGee is silly. Babb played so many minutes because he was much better than McGee in everything but shooting, and he was still damn good at that.

Did anyone feel like the ball rotation would stop 1 pass short of Thomas last night? I thought I noticed a few occasions that it could be swung to him but he didn't get the pass. Thomas had the nice assist with the extra pass to Naz in the corner for a 3, I'm not sure Thomas would have gotten the extra pass last night.

It's often like he's invisible to the other guys out there.
