So Gardner-Webb can win at Nebraska but Iowa can't. I know that was their National Championship and they played out of their minds for it but that loss is going to really hurt us coming Selection Sunday. They really need to help us in the RPI department or it could bump us a seed line

First time I have seen someone worry about a seed line for the NIT.

ISU will make the tournament. Will Iowa make the NIT? I didn't watch the game last night but I heard this guy was your second best player last night so I would bet no

Iowa's playing better. I've caught Nebraska a few times this year, and they are improving.

Iowa did get a KU-type bucket (tip in well after a foul was counted because the ref apparently didn't see that the original shot didn't go in). I'm guessing that's not something that they can review?

So Iowa caught a break on the road and still lost? Yikes

I think it was in the first OT with a minute left or so. Jok shoved a guy to the ground going for a rebound. The shot which was already taken didn't go in, but an Iowa guy tipped it in after the foul was called. They were down 1 after the basket. Should have been down three.

Talk about a lucky team not taking advantage of it

A few years ago when Iowa made their 'run' it was the, well, only excitement I've seen from any fanbase ever about the NIT tournament.

I remember social media lighting up like crazy over it, along with the 'Always proud to be a Hawkeye!' after they got drubbed by Baylor, of course from people that I went to college with, which was neither Iowa or ISU.

Bummer that Iowa loss could hurt in the long run, but it's completely up to ISU, and the conference portion has always been the most important.

I get that Iowa is a young team and showing some improvement but I still think that the future ceiling will be much lower than most think. I don't think you can stress enough how much Jok opens up the floor for the rest of the team. Compare it to how our offense looks this year without Niang and that's with a pre-season all american PG.

When selection Sunday gets here and Iowa is our "bad loss" feel free to sign me up for that.

Couldn't agree more. Jok is putting that team on his shoulders this year. Imagine if he would have declared last year. Hope they don't run him into the ground by seasons end. They have (2) really good Freshman in Cook and Bohanon, but not take over games good. If they land 1-2 more really good recruits in this upcoming class or 2 they could be dangerous, but that's a big if. Fran hasn't proven he can recruit a true point guard... Time will tell.

At about the 2.40 mark in this highlight video:

Side note - that is a really pitiful excuse of a moustache on Miles...
