Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

I'm aware how RPI works. TCU has played a much harder schedule which is why they have fewer wins but still are considered better than Nebraska.

I know you like to look at common opponents though.....when it fits your agenda.

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

Nebraska is to MSU what ISU is to IA. There is just not a good excuse for losing those games.:spinny:
Had to look at the last time Iowa had a better season than big brother Iowa State. Looks like it was almost 10 years ago during the 2006-07 season.

If IA only played in the Big 12.....in previous years.

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

Stop saying "scoreboard". Beating iowa at home is an expectation by the committee. There is no reward for it other than avoiding the huge RPI huge of losing at home.

Nope...

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

I don't need a computer to tell me who won and who lost a game. They only won by 1, so they lost the game? Hawk fans are cracking me up today.

No, I'm saying that a one point win at home is hardly convincing evidence as to who is the better team. This has nothing to do with who you cheer for.

So who won the National Championship between Seton Hall and Michigan in 1989 (it was a 1 point overtime win). Also include why that team won the National Championship in your answer.

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

TCU is ahead of Nebraska in the RPI. That seems like proof to me

Iowa is ahead of ISU in RPI, KenPom, BPI, the AP/Coaches polls, and pretty much any other ranking you can think of. Yet I'm told that ISU is still clearly the better team because of a 1-point win with perhaps the best home court advantage in the country.

Can you name a better way to determine who the better team of two teams is?
