Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

If they make the DM region, they owe us a big "thank you" for the work we've done hosting past events and getting the NCAAs to DM as a host school. Sucks we don't get to be there.

I just don't see them at a #1 seed..lot of ball to still be played.

BUT, if this bracket would remain, would love "ROSE BOWL" part two happened via basketball on the big stage...in DM. :-)

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

With that projected bracket, Iowa would be lucky to get past the round of 32 and if they did they likely face Press Virginia. That would be a laugher with how many times they would turn it over.

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

If Iowa makes the DM bracket, it's just the worst possible non ISU thing in sports that could possibly happen.

I was considering getting tickets or at least going to DSM for the NCAA games, because it would be fun. But of course the Hawks could ruin it.

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

Iowa and a pedestrian win over Rutgers.

Should be punished in the polls by beating a YMCA team by 14

iowa state sure as h#ll would

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

Every time I see bolts and cytwins arguing all I can think of is two really drunk people trying to box.

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

Illinois lost its 2 big men again so they're bad, hard to see Iowa losing to them. I like how you threw in the Augustana rematch though.

Predicting the rest of Iowa's schedule...

@ Rutgers - W
Purdue - L
@ Maryland - L
Northwestern - W
Penn State - W
@ Illinois - L
@ Indiana - L
Minnesota - W
@ Penn State - W
Wisconsin - W
Augustana (S.D.) - L
@ Ohio State - W
Indiana - L
@ Michigan - L

Final record: 21-9 (12-6 conference), #7 seed

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

I thought I was watching a women's game until I realized Iowa has two players with perms.

Speaking of which...how are "frosted tips" coming along for McKay and Morris?

Dont like this either (op) but they are taking care of business at the moment. So kudos to them. Im sure itll all straighten out eventually.

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

I know you guys want to keep killing Iowa for losing to Augustana but at the end of the day that game doesn't even exist.

Way too many games left to be played to try and speculate who will be the four #1 seeds. I would bet a lot of money one will not be Iowa.

Iowa @ (#224 RPI) Rutgers - 90-76 (14 pts)

(#287 RPI) Arkansas Pine Bluff @ ISU - 64-78 (14 pts)

It's like you guys don't even try anymore.

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

I think if we'd have beat Baylor we'd be in the discussion for a #1 seed with just 3 losses and a win over OU/Iowa.

If we win our next 2 we may be if the craziness continues like it has been. We'd have only 4 losses with 3 top 10 wins. I don't think another team could claim that, and our 3 top wins could stay top 10 wins.

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

This is a fun pillow fight to watch. Next week we will be talking about two top 10 teams in the state - everyone should be excited.

Iowa has been consistent all year. ISU is starting to show who they can be with their talent. The next 2 months should be fun.

That game was brutal and pretty much killed our KenPom AdjD at that moment. One of the worst non conference performances I can remember watching against a cupcake
