SDW is transferring

I expected this would be happening ever since the end of last season, but thought he would announce after this season. Best of luck to him and I hope he lands where he gets a real chance to show his ability.

Definitely saw this coming. Really hope he goes to a school that helps him succeed. Just too much talent on our roster. He would have probably been a starter in the mcdermott days

Good luck SDW! The kid seems to have his head on straight, somebody will be picking up a great teammate. Proof that transfers don't deserve a bad rep.

Can't blame a guy who rode the bench as much as he did wanting to move on. He never embarrassed us and seemed a class act. Best wishes to you SDW.

Well....looks like I won't have to chew off my foot after all for the "SDW will never score 20 points in a game" bet.

Some of us did get raked pretty hard on here for posting that SDW was likely not going to see a lot of meaningful minutes on the court for ISU. But he apparently was a good teammate with a good attitude and I hope he does well at his next stop.

Does it feel amazing to be right?

Sherron you have been a class act, hard worker and an excellent representative of Iowa State University. I understand your desire to transfer to another school, but know that you will always be a part of the cyclone family and we all will cheer you on and wish you nothing but success in your future endeavors. Great things are waiting for you I believe that to be true. Best wishes.

My thoughts exactly - couldn't have said it better myself. Wish you the best Sherron!

Seems like a great kid, good teammate and from what I recall he was a very good student. It's also admirable he stuck it out as long as he did. I imagine not seeing any time during the Iowa game with BDJ out, and seeing Custer enter games before him made it pretty clear he wasn't going to find consistent minutes. I imagine he and Fred had a frank conversation where it became evident it would be best for the team to have the scholarship open at the end of the year, and best for SDW's future to look elsewhere.

**** off with that dumb statement

Going Away Party at Bryce and Abdel's?

Too soon?

Hopefully will see him playing in the dance March 2016. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the way he represented himself or ISU during his time here.

Best of luck SDW!

I will to echo many of the fanatics statements and wish Sherron Dorsey-Walker the best at his future school. I just really wanted to see him excell in a Cyclone uniform. For whatever reason, that didn't happen. He has potential to be a really talented guard in basketball but more importantly the way he conducted himself off the court was remarkable! Good kid and smart person who will do well in whatever endeavor he chooses in life. SDW--Happy Trails

Great teammate, hard worker, smart kid and can put the ball in the hoop. I don't think he'll struggle too hard to find a place that can utilize his talents. Georgia State since they are trying to be Transfer U 2.0?

I hope he ends up at Colorado St. That would make it two reasons to cheer for Colorado St program becoming increasingly prominent.
