SDW is transferring

Is this in reference to something? I'm pretty sure Fred's got things under control. Unbelievable the tangents some people take.

Edit: Oh, Hawkeye huh. That's Iowa's latest thing to grasp to - graduation. Nice.

It's referencing a thread about stupid HawkeyeNation posts.

Its tough being a bench player, and even tougher when you see recruits coming in who are better than you. Seeing the writing on the wall write itself in front of you is not something I would wish on any player, having experienced it myself.

Best of luck to you SDW. You've learned from the best, and you will do great things for another team.

If true good luck SDW, thank you for all of your time and effort. Best of luck in the future wherever you go next.

That's the video. Look at his body language as he is walking by around 4:35. When I watched it originally a few days ago, it caught my eye and I felt bad for him. Again, best of luck to him, the guy was total class!

Also, he looks like he is "gone" with his lack of enjoyment as he gets in the handshake line. Yet he does join the party at the very end of the video. Class guy.

P.S. Love that Niang jumped to the front of the handshake line!

Best of luck to him. A player with his work ethic and ability transferring away just shows the great state our program is in.

Best of luck to the kid. It would have been so easy for a player in his position to become a distraction and/or malcontent. The fact that he became neither and just kept working hard says plenty about his character. I hope he lands in a program where he can earn some PT. Plenty of talent; maybe he just needs a change of scenery.

Loved SDW coming out of HS, thought his stroke would fit perfectly with the mayors offense, and he was Mr. Michigan basketball! He may have been a bit of a bust in some peoples eyes but the truth is that he just didnt have the minutes to be given, especially with BDJ, Kane/Niang, and Clyburn coming in without his knowing before hand. I hope he goes somewhere that is nationally (somewhat) relevant in mid-major level where he can make some noise when he gets his confidence on offense back and plays some more gametime minutes. Best of luck SDW, hope you have success wherever you go.

Well....looks like I won't have to chew off my foot after all for the "SDW will never score 20 points in a game" bet.

SDW, You were a great teammate and ambassador of Iowa State. We wish you the very best ahead in your future endeavors and thank you for your contributions to the success of our basketball program.

@SDW_RealNICE: On my amazing journey, I was fortunate enough to stop in Ames. Wouldn't take anything back. Gonna miss it. #AlwaysOne!

The way Michigan has been playing this year, they could undoubtedly use him. They initially recruited him, unless I'm mistaken.

At any rate, I'd love to see go somewhere where he can get a waiver to play immediately. Glad he doesn't appear to have bitter feelings toward Fred or ISU for being red shirted only to not play here. Poor guy hasn't played a meaningful minute of basketball since his SR year of High School, probably killing him inside.

@GeorgesNiang20: Gonna miss my bro @SDW_RealNICE came in as strangers but now are brothers I wish you the best brotha love you man!
