Same ol' Arnaud

How many touchdown passes does Tiller have? I think it's funny how people think Tiller is the answer after we have seen him be completely ineffective against three teams, one of them a AA team.

I am done with this argument. It is ridiculous and it has become obvious reasoning will not be listened to in this discussion. It will continue to be Arnauds fault when our defense allows 54 points and our ST essentially allows 14. Arnaud could have played lights out and we still would have lost. Utah is physically superior at every single position except two linebacker spots. they are the only ones that would start for them and yes, that includes ARob and our whole Oline. I know this is hard to believe but our Oline is not good.

Read my posts. I'm not giving any unit credit for tonight's game, but Austen only has one game to point to for a resume. He's not good.

Yaman3 you are the dumbest person on cf if you have not caught on to reality yet. IT WAS AA's FAULT HE PLAYED LIKE ****

No, the reality is that our Oline is not good and our recievers are not good. Guess what, though, the QB gets the ball every single snap so no matter who ****s up, ball watchers everywhere will blame him while they themselves continue to call for an injured back who, in three games has throw up what, 30 points, two of these teams were terrible defenses and one of those was a AA team. Not only were they a AA team, they were a terrible defense in AA. If you cannot see that reality you can then be classified as ignorant. Nowhere did I ever say Arnaud was a world beating QB. I think he could be good if he had a competent Oline and better than bad receivers. Of course, not everyone will see that because most are busy watching the ball.

When he has time, he still scatters throws all over, especially high.

It's not a defense of anyone else after this beatdown to criticize him. It's simply saying that a senior QB should be more reliable than this.

Yes we probably lose, but AA missing throws to avoid 3 play 1 minute drives directly affects the defense. You think if AA played "lights out" the defense still would have given up 54?

It's sad that this is our 'best' option. Everyone was blinded by the magical game against Tech.

If our defense didnt get us the ball on our own side of the field twice, we would have zero points and about 80 total yards.

This. Arnaud has to be in the race as the worst D-1 qb. He is an absolute disgrace. His throws tonight were absolutely sickening. Thank God he is a senior so we don't have to endure any more games watching him single handedly turn our offense into a trainwreck. So freaking sick of watching him implode and kill any chance this offense has to put points on the board or even move the ball. If he remains our starting qb we are screwed. Hell... I saw kids in the tailgate lots that can throw the ball better then him. What a disaster. Arnaud should seriously think about quitting for the good of the program. Maybe then we could salvage this season and stop any further damage to the program. I am sure the defensive players would be grateful since he hung them out to dry tonight. P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ouch. I always compare Austen to Stevie Hicks. They suck but continue to start and play. At least Austen scored a touchdown before he was a junior.

13 of 31. Yeah.... that would not have been good enough to beat freaking Drake tonight. Game plan for next week..... all wildcat offense all of the time. I am pretty sure at this point that A-Rob could put up better numbers at qb then Arnaud. Wow, just wow. :realmad::realmad::realmad::realmad:

Exactly. Do we win the game if he plays even decent? No. But we don't get 68 points put up on us.

What percentage of Cyclone1985's posts are posts ******** about Arnaud?

I'm guessing it's in the neighborhood of 80%.

The guy clearly has a vendetta. Quit feeding it.

Can we at least shake the **** out of him till he passes out?

Just to clarify. I am not saying Tiller would have done better. But to simply lay the blame on the defense despite Arnaud and the O leaving them high and dry is also stupid.

It's a team loss. There really wasn't any unit that looked good at all. Defense sucked, offense sucked, special teams... wait for it... sucked. I'll never understand the desire by some of this board (clearly not directed at you) to lay blame on one unit or another when the whole team played terribly. Sure, there are some losses where one unit utterly fails, while another plays pretty well, but last night was not one.

The offense hung the defense out to dry last night. You can pretty much say the same thing for the special teams as well. It was critical in a game like that to win the field position battle and we lost miserably in that department. Utah had short field after short field because the offense failed to move the ball. Then our punter would boom one that could have switched the field on Utah but instead our coverage team let Utah return the ball to midfield or into our territory time and time again. Overall you are correct in that all areas of the game completely sucked but our defense got absolutely no help out there.

You can say our defense didn't get any help, but that doesn't change the fact that they couldn't tackle, cover, or stop Utah, way too early in the game to have the excuse of being gassed.

The offense was bad, but the defense was just as bad, if not a little worse.

Come on, they scored 68 points and we're trying to hang this on the offense? The offense did NOT do their part, but the defense failed enough on their own accord. Again, I know it makes people feel better to blame Arnaud, but he's such a small part of the problem that it just doesn't make sense. He played bad, but so did every one else.

This thread wasnt about AA losing it for us. It is about how everyone thought AA was god after the last game, only to be brought back down to earth this game.

He's a 3rd year started. hitting 5 yards hitches, slants and 10 yard out routes is a must!

Vendetta or not, this is fair.

I wouldn't really argue with that.

I just came off as another "oh, we lost. Better blame Arnaud" type thread.
