RECRUITING: New Isaiah Stokes information

What's the deal with Stokes tweeting at Scout and then deleting it almost right away?

From the Ames Tribune story: "After Scout’s report, Stokes tweeted at Daniels, “no i have not. Could you take this down please.” Stokes’ tweet was deleted within minutes of its posting."

I wonder if he wanted to be the one to announce the signing.

Maybe realized whatever he had to say it should be in a DM and not a public tweet.

So if he signed, didn't tell anybody/Prohm & Co., then it was basically baiting us into violating NCAA regulations by continuing to have any sort of contact with him, based on the fact that he attended one of our games and we sent staff to watch him play in Florida?
There's nothing illegal about him coming to watch Iowa St, or Iowa St coaches watching him play, even if he was signed. Nobody ever said they talked with one another.

What is the deal with Small's recruits? It's one thing after another..... lol

I wouldn't be surprised if it was like the Sedrick Johnson incident where a parent who wanted him to stay close to home filled it out, signed it and sent it in without him even knowing.

Probably far fetched but we know it has happened before.

I think he's from Tennessee so not really staying close to home.

It makes zero sense for FL not to announc this 2 weeks ago then...zero...every single program and player announces once signed for numerous reasons one of which is to make sure no one else contacts your signed commit..

I'm still trying to figure out Stokes tweeting about being at the ISU/Gonzaga game on 11/27 when he apparently committed on 11/16. Free tickets are free tickets I guess.
