This isn't exactly breaking news or anything but I am hearing this morning that it's a very real possibility that he will take a visit to North Carolina. In fact, his 247 page now says he's visiting there next weekend.

I'd be curious to know how serious the UNC interest in him is as I thought for a while he was more of a backup plan. However if they put him on an official visit, that could change things up quite a bit.

We'll see.

I'd say it's 50-50 at this point so as always, stay tuned.

North Carolina doesn't have a very impressive class by blueblood standards right now. They could just want Stokes over some of their other commits.

I'll take this as a sign that he has great potential. I've heard people talk about UNC commits, where would he stand among there other guys?

Thanks for the heads up CW, but I believe he set this visit to UNC over a month ago along with his official visits to Florida and TCU. UNC has taken a high level post commitment since it was set thus, the need is less for him then at that time. Obviously there is still mutual interest for him to visit even with the addition.
I'd still put UNC behind ISU, Tenn and TCU to land his services as of today but Roy has a way about him so that can change.

North Carolina sure does love their wide post players. Sean May, Hansborough, Kennedy Meeks come to mind.

Stokes started following a bunch of Iowa State basketball players on twitter, including Wigginton, Monte, Babb, Naz, Georges and D-Jack. (Could've happened after the visit). I checked to see if he followed any players from the other schools recruiting him and only found one Tennessee player. None from the other schools. I'll let you interpret that however you want.
