RECRUITING: Elijah Brown visit info

Functionally, no.

Young and Juiston would be a bigger than a lot of our frontcourts, Brown a wash on the wing, and Wigginton and Jackson a bit smaller in the backcourt. You don't measure the size of your lineup by your pg.

Functionally? lol wat?

well one issue is Edwards will more than likely have a decision made by this time next week and Brown is not schedule to come in for 3 more weeks, and that is if he doesn't decide to commit to Oregon or Northwestern first.

It's probably going to get ugly a la Richard amardi. That's the landscape though. I feel like since Edwards didn't commit on the spot that he's getting a vibe about our preferred directio.

We wanted Edwards to commit this weekend

The staff still seems extremely high on Edwards and rumors are they were disappointed he didn't commit. I still think if given the choice between the two of Edwards or Brown they would take Edwards. There is a reason they have been recruiting him since last summer after all if they weren't sure about his potential they would have moved on at this point. (a la McKinley Wright)

Ha, do you have any eligibility left?

I wouldn't call that lineup tiny compared to our past ones if the frontline is bigger and only the sg position is smaller by a couple inches.

3,2, 1 all smaller. Frontline is only bigger than last year. I didn't say tiny. I said it would be one of the smaller ones. Didn't even say that it was bad. Just a fact.

Not a chance. Had Brown been recruitable as long as Edwards it still wouldn't be clear

Yes, I never said you claimed they were tiny. You're the one that jumped into the discussion about whether it was a tiny lineup. It's not, and given it would be as big of a frontline as we've had, it's not a smaller one.

It will be fun to bump these threads the next two years and see that people don't have Lewis in their starting line ups. he gone be good.

Well, for this year at least, his dad has pretty much come out and said he expects him to come off the bench his first season. Bizarro world Lavar Ball, I guess.

And in an interesting development, both the Lawson's are going to KU.

Sit one, but still think that's gotta be a little dissuading to Juiston, right?

Odds he visits this weekend, loves it, realizes KU just wants him on the bench, and commits?

Brown has proven himself at the high major D 1 level. The guy has averaged 20 ppg for pretty much two seasons straight. I'm not so sure you can say the staff think Edwards is the better player.

I think I agree if there is a choice between those two that Edwards is the on that makes the most sense based on need alone. We need a Naz/Thomas guy to put in the corner and stretch the defense. Out of the two, Edwards is that guy.

If it's me? I take either or both, but if I had to choose one or the other (hypothetically), I'd take Edwards.

I don't think that's the point LL is making. It's not about "better". It's about "fit/need".
