Recruit Lists v2.0

I meant very close to one another, not blood brothers, brothers from other mothers

Oh, my bad. I must have read "He was literally brothers with Naz" incorrectly, then. Silly me.

Right on, man. That was silly of me brethren. I just totally ****** on my own foot with that comment. Good work guy man

come on, Wes. Own up to it. You thought they were actual brothers. It's okay. Lots of people did, including myself. It's no biggie, but attempting to weasel out of it makes you look like a fool and undermines the entire point you were trying to make.

Ah, ya goofed me hard there, fam. I know Elijah Long, was going to FGCU, then decomitted, 2 star recruit I know him don't worry. Dillon Brooks, who is from Naz's hometown, where they refer themselves as family. I figured that people would read to far into it. I shouldn't have said literally, or else gafsters and goofsters would get me good.

He just got kicked out of United Township in the QC, I believe that was his 3rd school in 3 years. It's a shame because he could've been real good and sounded like he was an ISU lean.

He's from Davenport, no wonder he can't figure it out.

Oh, so it's a regional thing. That explains why you used 'literally' like a teenage girl, fam.

Holy cow, you are REALLY upset that someone corrected you.

Holds a ISU offer ESPN #64...

Pearl may end up being a thorn in Prohm's side for many targets these next few years.

@Rob_Harrington: Bruce Pearl is locked in on PF Romello White, who is off to a great start in this one. Power and energy. #adidasuprising

That's the thing about recruiting.... There's always someone else trying to get good players too.

We'll be going against Alabama, Miss State, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Auburn and Tennessee a lot in the next few years.

Hope we can convince some of those southern boys that Ames/ISU/B12 is a great fit for them.

We'll see...
Though I think Prohm/Small's current southern recruiting focus this year is due to mining areas they are familiar with and have connections. I have a feeling after 2-3 years, once Prohm establishes himself and able to foster local connections, most of ISU's targets will be in the MW, Tenn, Mizzou and Texas rarely going much farther than that.

I don't want to take this to the cave but why is this so difficult? To get young African American men out of the south?

Cultural differences

Weather

Proximity to family and friends

Familiarity

Financial (higher travel costs)

Probably the same reasons why most non-athlete students stay in-state or relatively close.

@RedbirdRecon: Per a source, 2016 Jerry Myles is playing for Kansas Pray & Play. Sunrise Christian Prep (KS) is listed as his HS.

Not a recruit anymore but saw it pop up on my timeline & thought it was funny because he was just brought up earlier today. Anyone ever heard of Kansas Pray & Play? I'm not familiar with it.

Edit: I guess it's an AAU team which would mean he's back at Sunrise Prep in Kansas? Which is odd that he'd choose to go back & they'd take him back but whatever I suppose.
