…in an alternate universe where looking back, taking one small skip step, and putting the ball in one hand (with no player within 20 yards)is unsportsmanlike conduct.
Take it up with the rules committee.

Slight celebration =\= taunting to me.Are you messing with me, because you just said you thought he did slightly celebrate before going into the end zone? There are some semantics going around because those terms are used in describing the primary rule, which was Unsportsmanlike Conduct, and he was hit with Article 1-a-1-(e).
He didn’t taunt. He has the right to look behind himself to check for a defender. He high-stepped. That’s insane for it to be a penalty when there wasn’t a defender within 25 yards. I have never seen such an egregious misuse of the unsportsmanlike penalty in any game.

You either did not watch the play, or you don’t watch modern football.
Yep, that is almost exactly how it is worded in rule. We don't like it. Judgement call and his judgement sucked! They say it's celebration because he broke stride, changed speed slightly and did a bit of a skip. No, it's not excessive to us, but to that dumb ass ref in the moment it does so why argue?
I don’t know what to say at this point. You are either misinterpreting the rules, or you need to watch the replay. It simply was not unsportsmanlike conduct.
Apparently, according to a couple confused Cyclone fans, you are only allowed to run at the same speed, at the same gait, and you cannot swivel your head, or it’s unsportsmanlike conduct.
Mind blowing.
So what????But…. He sorta skipped at the 3 and slowed down a bit before the end zone.
Nice edit.
I watched the play. I figured he might get called for UC, and sure enough...he did.

Well my friend, you need to rewatch the play. It was the wrong call.
What does the NCAA football rule book say?
I won't look since it's over and bonus: ISU won and it's sadly not really that high on a list of some awful calls against ISU.
I've directly quoted the rule book to you.
You've chosen to ignore it. Not my problem.
