I am all about taunting when there is a opposing player near and the taunt is directed toward them. That being said, that call ignited CMC, the staff, the players, and the fans. Thank you really terrible REFEREE for helping get us this win.

I was so confused when they called that
By rule, probably a foul. Usually called by referees if an opponent is near. Not the case. I still say it was the key to the win. As a coach and fan, it has always amazed me what can cause a team to step up to a higher level of play. Humans are weird.
The players absolutely loved it when we were all going apeshit for atleast the next 5 min even after we scored. The kept waving their arms saying louder.
I agree it was maybe the worst call I’ve seen in probably 10 years.

Seriously. Hutchinson BARELY changed his stride. It's almost like the ref was just staring at him closely to find something to call. Reminds me of this:
Punching it in for the TD after that was the biggest '**** you' I've seen out of ISU in quite a while although their drive to go ahead in Austin last year was up there too.
How so? He didn’t “celebrate” until he was in the endzone. That doesn’t take off a TD.
He did not excessively celebrate. Not even close.
They say it's celebration because he broke stride, changed speed slightly and did a bit of a skip. No, it's not excessive to us, but to that dumb ass ref in the moment it does so why argue?
Ok--I'll try this angle:
Don't high step into the end zone and it's a non issue.
Either way, I've never heard or seen of it in college when the TD gets called back.
Ya this one was pretty bad. At least X scored a few players later. Feel like it really turned things around in the game. Crowd got pissed, defense ratcheted it up. X went beast mode.
Why argue? Because it is beyond ridiculous to get a flag and a TD taken away for changing your stride after you looked back to see if you were in comfortably. That is a Ref changing the game. Unless something was said that we didn’t hear.
The ref should be investigated for his ties to organized gambling. It was that blatant.
That was absolutely one of the worst calls in college football history. It happened to be against us.
yelling at calls like that is the obligation of the fan base…!
