Utes are crushing the gators. SEC! SEC! I wonder what monkey ear Finebaum will have to say.

Oh yes, and for that retort, "May you walk a mile under a diseased camel!"I think we need to look for the answer in the Mayonnaise jar that Johnny Carson keeps under Funk and Wagnall's front porch.
Their clause may be different than the Big12’s. They are also all ESPN where as the Big12 also has Fox who doesn’t have that clause in our contract. They aren’t interested in Oregon State or Washington State. Stanford and Cal aren’t interested in the Big12. Stanford and Cal give ESPN more late window options in the ACC as well, not to mention the inevitable ACC raiding and ESPN will still have time slots to fill.I do find it disappointing if ESPN is okay with the ACC exercising their pro-rata clause, particularly if it guarantees survival of the ACC is someone FSU and Clemson leave but we supposedly were told not to exercise ours (if that was indeed the case).
Well there goes thinking this will drag out. The All Coastal Conference I guess.

extremely rich donorsDid SMU take out a couple mortgages on their campus while they're at it? 7 years without media revenue seems pointless.
It is a desperation move... but their only chance to become relevant in CFB. The line of P4 is drawn and if they didn't get into even a dying ACC they had no chance not being relegated to the minor leagues of CFB forever. Almost unbelievable but they are actually in better position than WSU/OSU assuming they go to the ACC or MWC with this move today. They now have to pray the ACC stays together 2036 for the chance the move pays off.extremely rich donors
It's only a cut of like 6 MM since that is what they are getting from the AAC. Probably have a few boosters who threw that in.Did SMU take out a couple mortgages on their campus while they're at it? 7 years without media revenue seems pointless.
I think it said in the ESPN article that SMU upped it to go from 7 years with no tv revenue to 9. Talk about feeling like a second class citizen within your own conference when you’re already starting from behindStill have to compete against teams getting a full share. Wonder if they consider themselves equals.
Florida State and Clemson are packing their bags and would leave today if they could.
