Ranking tomorrow?

We were the best game on TV on Saturday in prime time on ESPN2. I think a lot of people turned into believers on Saturday. My conservative estimate is #11 or #12 at the worst. My high-ceiling pick is #9.
14/15. We are not blue blood.

Don't give a **** what the idiot voters do for this week. The Boxster rating has us at #10. Thought we looked every bit of that last night against a Top 5 team on their home court.

This is where I'm at. The AP is all about the name on the front of the jersey. I don't need their ranking to tell me how good (or bad) my team is. I know they're good.

Beyerball;5017129.Purdue should drop out of top 25 just for getting out scored by 26 in a half to Iowa at home.[/QUOTE said:
Shhh. The voters might be listening.

Oh wait, you said 26 points. Yeah, Purdue sucks.

ISU is past the 'no respect' phase, I wish some in its fanbase would come along with them. We are a known commodity nationally and being a Blue Blood will not net any significant advantage over our team this year.

I'm to the point that I could care less what we are ranked. Every time we Crack the top 10 we have a letdown, makes you wonder if the players are reading too much of their own press some times l. This team needs the motivation to EARN the rankings and accolades and not just buy into all the hype of everyone saying they have the talent to be a Final 4 team. Still have to play the games, no one is just going to hand over a Final 4 berth to you and UAB is all they need to remember how that is true. I'm not worried, that was a good team we lost to yesterday but there is room to improve, especially on defense and this team can make its mark by either working more on that or being ok with the status quo and assuming they can outscore everyone

This is a fresh perspective. I'm glad we won't touch the Top 10. Nothing good comes from it.

Didn't move up after we beat #22 on the road. Dropping 5 spots after losing to the #2 team on the road in a tight contest would be par for the ISU course.

Difference is that was an early in the week game forgot by following Monday, and Cincinnati is not too 5. OU is, and although voters can be clueless, many will catch that...

Butler will drop below ISU after losing twice this week and Nova and Providence will jump ISU after winning both of their games, including wins over ranked teams. No one else above them will drop below. And Miami and Duke didn't really do enough to jump a team losing @#3 in the nation. So ISU to #12.

People act like voters always under-rank this team. Just a few weeks ago we were ranked 4 and 2.
