My birthday yesterday was pretty fun. I think the most fun though was setting up a candle and Z wanted to blow it out. She sang Happy birthday each time. The candle was almost new, but we melted it into a tiny stub.
This is cool.
question for picture-taking types.
First, is there a site I can load our trip pics to in order to sort through them? Google photos compresses them and doesn't have a great way for being able to delete or move photos as you are looking at them. Wasn't sure what the "free" limits would be for something like flickr or printing sites like adoramapix. I *can* do this on my computer but was looking for something I could do away from my laptop as well.
Second, DH's camera is nice, but I'd like to print some larger pics for hanging - like maybe some that are like two feet wide and the quality probably isn't high enough fo that. So he took a series of burst shots of pretty panoramas and thought maybe there was a way to stitch them back together. Anyone know of something like that?
Otherwise, we can just do that thing where they split the picture across three canvases or something.

Some cameras have a setting for taking photos with the intent to stitch them together into a panoramic. With the advances in software there has to be something out there that can recognize pixel patterns to know where to overlap.question for picture-taking types.

Edit: I guess there is an add on to gimp that can do it.
If he used a setting on his camera (Canon?) Then there should have been software that came with the camera that would do that.I believe that is the setting he used, yes.

I was in Duluth this weekend and came back to find a curve on our street filled with hail. That was after 2:00. The storm hit about 8:30. Neighbors say that there was 10-12 inches of hail on that curve after the storm and a truck actually got stuck in it. Our yard looked like fall it was so full of leaves. A lot of hail still hanging on in the grass as well. Some hail damage but could have been much worse. First glance at roof looks promising but there is some siding damage. Good news is kids' trampoline didn't get airborne. The screw in dog chain anchors did their job.
Neighbor and I filled his trailer to overflowing with leaves and small branches and my yard isn't quite done. A lot of clean up.
Thankful because it could have been much worse. Thanks to everyone who was concerned about us Nortlanders.
