Word of advice, if they tell you to take off the electrodes yourself, make sure to turn it off first. It will zap from your fingers, down your arm, through your chest (your heart is here) and back to the still attached electrode when you get the first off. Also, if there is a steady current, they messed up, its not supposed to be like that and it will start to become slightly/rather irritating/painful (pending pain threshold) after a little bit. If it wasn't for the days where dad had me touch the electric fences as a kid to see if they worked, i probably would have been more alarmed by those experiences.

Luckily they take them off at this office so no worry on this end foe me, but apprciate the advice.

Definitely Jennifer Anniston weekend this past one. I saw horrible bosses 2 (most of it) besides the two others that I saw. My wife rented Hidden Figures. Wasn't bad, a little slow but if you like history you will probably find it enjoyable, otherewise probably not. I just don't like my wife renting anything, she can't make more than 15-20 minutes of a movie without falling asleep. Which means we pay $5 several times for her to make it through a movie.

It was a response to my friend. She and her fiancee had just gone for a 5.5 mile run and I was congratulating her. :D

I thought maybe it was a text to your daughter talking about a pitcher/catcher battery. :)

ISU softball finally got a Big 12 win, in dramatic fashion. They play the Hawks tomorrow in Iowa City.

I remember talking to one Ames resident who bemoaned the Grand underpass because it screwed up his free pizza. They apparently knew the train schedule or at least one evening train so they knew when to order a Dominos pizza. Apparently they could get their pizza for free more times than not because train.
The stoners I knew that worked for Dominos would have probably gotten the munchies and just ate the pizza while waiting for the train.

I suppose I should stop at the store on the way home and check out the Easter candy on sale. Stock up for the candy bowl at work if there is anything I want.

Rev, At first I was going to give you a like for the fun Easter Z post, but then a read the part about your Grandma and didn't think that would be right. So Thanks for the fun Z post and I hope you Grandma heals up well, after her set back.

Gr8, only train story I have from my time in Ames is the one time I hopped a train right behind Grandaddy's and hopped off to get to the bars on Main street. It's kind of amazing how fast they pick up speed:rolleyes:.

My brother and his buddies used to occasionally hop a train by Main Street and hop off near their Schilletter apartment. I think the key is to get on near the front of the train rather than the back so the engine is still speed limited by being in town. Still pretty scary especially when half in the bag.

I'm eating Ramen for dinner tonight. I broke the bricks into small pieces so I wouldn't have to chew it up. I should have crushed them smaller.

Your GF should totally have made you spaghetti.

Husband lived in a WDSM apartment complex his first two years in HS. There were train tracks nearby, and he and his buddies would jump onto the ladders on the side of the boxcars of the freight trains, ride for about 50 - 100 yds, and then hop off. One day, my husband hops on, but his feet slip. So he's hanging onto the ladder with his feet dangling inches from the moving wheels. As he puts it, and I quote "I had never done a pull-up in my life, but that day I did." I think/hope that was the last time he did that.

Been watching the series about WW I on public television.

Making me sad and depressed. But I keep watching. A period of history I don't know that well.

And no I'm not that old. Even my parents weren't born then.

Mine either. But both of my grandfathers served. One as infantry, the other as a chaplain. That one is now buried on Chaplain Hill at Arlington.

American Experience I'm guessing? I just found out about that series in the last month or so, they have a bunch of other really good episodes. Some are on their website to stream, there's also some on Youtube.
