Got it. So Spanish and Italian are Romantic languages. English and Dutch are Germanic languages. CGese and Boxterish are Fanatic languages.

I can understand spoken Portuguese and Romanian due to knowing Spanish. Italian and French? Not so much.
If Fanatic language is a thing, then I'll have to say I also understand some Idiotese whenever I read a Bode post.
I am confused that I am not as confused as everyone else. I am always seemly out of sync with the masses.

Sometimes I don't get it at first, but only rarely does it take more than another reading.
Romanian is also one of the main Romantic languages, along with Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Italian. I'll be honest, I can't understand a word of what people say when they speak French or Italian, but I can definitely understand Portuguese and Romanian.
So it's not super specific, but Romania was conquered by the Romans, so their language adopted a lot of Latin characteristics or became latin. Therefore it's closer to Latin languages then it is to say Bulgarian or Serbian. Why their language did that but not another language like Greek, I don't know.
