My daughter has discovered Count Chocula. One one hand, I'd like to steer her towards a healthier breakfast choice. On the other hand, I ate all sorts of horrible cereals growing up and turned out fine...well, fine-ish.

Ultimately, it will likely come down to whether or not it's the weekend or weekday. If it's the weekend, I'll have to deal with her hyper ***. Weekdays - off to school!

Not a bad philosophy. Let the teachers deal with it. Wait. My wife's a teacher.

I guess I've reconciled to the fact that they will either eat sugary cereal or nothing and be crabby a couple of hours before lunch. I probably should have fed them avocados and boiled chickpeas when they were younger but that just seemed cruel at the time.

We have parent-teacher conferences tonight and tomorrow. It seems early considering that we just started school August 19th.

I used to think it was weird, but I sorta like it now. It gives us a chance to examine how our kids are doing before half the semester is done and possibly address any issues. And really, after a month, a good teacher should have a pretty comprehensive assessment of a child.

someone just got two baby carriers out of their car.

Baby twins!

CG Ovary alert!

Well, after a ****** start to the day, I've rebounded quite nicely. I got my test scores back in my Fluid Mechanics class. Aced that *****, and the average was 63/100. Then I had my interview, which also went very well. I'll hear back from them by Friday about moving forward with the next step.

Thanks. A kid in my class came up to me later and said "So I heard you're the one that got 100 on the exam." I asked how he found that out and he said the guys behind me saw my score and said "That mother****er got 100." I laughed. I'm guessing this is what an Asian feels like in a math class. :jimlad:

The professor was surprised by the low test average and handed out a homework problem that will be extra credit. I always heard you're supposed to give 110%...

ask for the credit to carryover to the next test for those who don't need it on this one :jimlad:

I made my Jr. High math teacher give me an A+ because of something like that. I used to be a big nerd.
