If people are learning behavior from watching the Oscars, they've already lost.
I agree but there's not exactly a plethora of good influences of famous people out there.
Never has been.

apparently. I mean, it's not a good joke, but is it so offensive that you'd strike someone over it? I don't see it.Wait, what was the joke? Was it just about Jada's hair?
Do kids know who Will Smith is? Or Chris Rock for that matter.Right? Like some 8 year old was sitting around watching an award show, saw the incident, and THAT was the catalyst that caused them to get in a fight the next day
What career? Honest question...he's not doing much lately that's noteworthy. Anyway, there's talk of the academy taking back Smith's Oscar already.
What'd he do?And Rock shouldn’t be allowed on again either.
Yeah, not a violent person. I'm just putting myself into the situation. If my wife had been dealing with anxiety and depression over a health issue and then we're sitting there and having that situation mocked by a comedian in our faces with bazillions of people watching around the world... just saying I can understand, and I'd be ashamed af after the fact. Would love to say I'd be the bigger person and just shrug it off but can't honestly say that. And it's not like I'm some tough guy, would just as likely get my a** beat. Just saying, at first I was grossed out by what he did, still am, but can understand it.I don't get his reaction of violence. I get his reaction of being pissed as fuckk for sure.
I kind of liked it, but admittedly once all these people in Hollywood started openly supporting Polanski these awards shows trigger me a bit.Yeah, I looked up the text to the speech and it was something like "don't groan, he's your friend." But like I said, I don't like Gervais, and I don't like his style, so I'm already going to be looking at it in the worst possible light.
I am in PR. And immediately I turned to my better half and said 'His PR team is shitting their collective pants and they're scrambling to divvy up who's on damage control, who's on key messaging and who's on apologies.'PR teams for both will be in over drive tonight. They will have pics of them hugging at one of the after parties.
What'd he do?
Demi Moore was a badass in GI Jane.Making a joke of someone else’s disease, handicap, deformity, sex, race, etc is over the line IMO.
And if physically assaulting someone on stage of the Academy Awards doesn’t get your Oscar taken away, what would?
Wait, what was the joke? Was it just about Jada's hair?
Will Smith will let a dude **** his wife, but do not talk about her being bald. That's a bridge too far.
I kind of liked it, but admittedly once all these people in Hollywood started openly supporting Polanski these awards shows trigger me a bit.
Yep, has a condition…so that was a low joke by Chris. This is why Gervais doesn’t host this thing anymore…they were ready to get him at every turn, but I don’t think he went that low (it’s been a long time though).
