Oscar Predictions for Tonight...

Right? Like some 8 year old was sitting around watching an award show, saw the incident, and THAT was the catalyst that caused them to get in a fight the next day
Do kids know who Will Smith is? Or Chris Rock for that matter.

I don't get his reaction of violence. I get his reaction of being pissed as fuckk for sure.
Yeah, not a violent person. I'm just putting myself into the situation. If my wife had been dealing with anxiety and depression over a health issue and then we're sitting there and having that situation mocked by a comedian in our faces with bazillions of people watching around the world... just saying I can understand, and I'd be ashamed af after the fact. Would love to say I'd be the bigger person and just shrug it off but can't honestly say that. And it's not like I'm some tough guy, would just as likely get my a** beat. Just saying, at first I was grossed out by what he did, still am, but can understand it.

Yeah, I looked up the text to the speech and it was something like "don't groan, he's your friend." But like I said, I don't like Gervais, and I don't like his style, so I'm already going to be looking at it in the worst possible light.
I kind of liked it, but admittedly once all these people in Hollywood started openly supporting Polanski these awards shows trigger me a bit.

It’s weird I don’t see any patches of hair missing on her. Alopecia generally they are missing patches of hair. She shaved it but the little growth she has don’t show patches unless I’m missing something.

PR teams for both will be in over drive tonight. They will have pics of them hugging at one of the after parties.
I am in PR. And immediately I turned to my better half and said 'His PR team is shitting their collective pants and they're scrambling to divvy up who's on damage control, who's on key messaging and who's on apologies.'

What'd he do?

Making a joke of someone else’s disease, handicap, deformity, sex, race, etc is over the line IMO.

And if physically assaulting someone on stage of the Academy Awards doesn’t get your Oscar taken away, what would?

Demi Moore was a badass in GI Jane.

Wait, what was the joke? Was it just about Jada's hair?

From what I gather it was in reference to alopecia which is an autoimmune condition. I have a touch of it myself. Am I offended? No.

But it's not a light subject for those that are more affected by it in its different forms.

Unless the joker has a good relationship with the person where they know they can be light about it, dragging them is not acceptable.

Will Smith will let a dude **** his wife, but do not talk about her being bald. That's a bridge too far.

You know the baldness can be an affect caused by other things right? That the person has no control over?

Like, you thought harder about what caused the baldness beyond just saying they're bald?

Seems like all these Hollywood elites enjoy talking about peace and love all night, but when one of their own physically assaults and sucker punches someone on stage…. they nearly immediately give them a standing ovation and celebrate them. Disgusting….. and hypocritical.

Yep, has a condition…so that was a low joke by Chris. This is why Gervais doesn’t host this thing anymore…they were ready to get him at every turn, but I don’t think he went that low (it’s been a long time though).

Accusing them all of being Epstein’s friends is pretty low and likely possibly true but nobody smacked him for it.
