Open Positions on FB Staff?

I'll take CPR's assessment over yours anyday. Based on his body of work thus far, questioning CPR is .....well it appears insane.

Well I would hope so. This is a message board. I don't think you always remember that we are a bunch of idiots giving our opinion.

I will respect your opinion but this has no basis in fact -- none!

When is Tony Franklin showing up? Got any emails on that recently?

Supposedly close friends with Coach Mess. We will see how this goes. I wont ever doubt Rhoads but Chiz can let you know how hiring your friends goes.

Aha, good point.

It certainly does when you have to replace recruiting ties to both Texas and California in two hires. I know CPR said the spot vacated by Herman was not a recruiting position but I don't buy that we don't need to replace some of his ties.

People want to pooh pooh these last two coaching losses and just say "Well, CPR will fix it." This hire does nothing for recruiting in Texas or Cali. That's the main issue. We got a bunch for money for assistants and we are hiring a guy out of HS in Iowa.

Regarding the bolded part. Do you know who and where he has contacts? For all you know he could have subtantial cali and texas contacts, but you don't know if he does. And if he doesn't have those contacts maybe he will be an Iowa/Midwest recruiter and move the person who currently recruits Iowa/Midwest to texas or cali.

You don't know the situation so it's pointless for you to pretend you do and get all worked up over something you don't know anything about.

You can be skeptical and still fully support a guy at the same time.
Quietly skeptical maybe.......... but your skepticism has been announced on a huge open forum. That is not fully supporting a guy in any way, shape, or form.

Without any experience beyond HS he better be in operations or a GA as we need someone familiar with recruiting on staff.

So he resigns as a head coach to become a grad assistant? I doubt thats likely. I believe he is older too.

I know that he went from UNI to Marshalltown to Williamsburg to Jefferson and I know none of those are in Texas or CA. I am pretty sure he doesn't have the ties there that we need. I said I will trust CPR with this one and if we can hire a bunch of people from Iowa and get the job done, there would be nothing better. I will question it a little for the time being, though, and I don't feel like that is completely unjustified.

Jefferson Athletics Director Scott Kibby said he had been in talks with Womochil about the unspecified opportunity since November.

“I knew then that he had another option,” Kibby said. “He told me Monday that he had worked out a leave of absence.”

The leave of absence, Kibby said, means “that Jim is going to explore another opportunity. If it is to his liking, he will continue on. If not, he can come back and a job will be waiting for him at Jefferson in the fall.

These don't necessarily sound like quotes discussing someone that is taking a high-paying collegiate position.

Haha, you started a whole thread about the ineptitude of the staff and you're going to point that finger?

I heard Ryan McKim will be the new grad assistant

Can you read? I said the team needed discipline and focus -- the penalty stats show that they do -- big time. Maybe next year.

I didn't read this entire thread, but this from footballscoop

Iowa State: We hear that Central Missouri grad assistant Kevin Bleil has taken the offensive grad assistant job with the Cyclones.

So you questioned something about the staff and we questioned something about the staff. What's the difference? Nobody said "This will never work." No one said, "This is completely stupid." We said, "This doesn't make sense to us."
