OFFICIAL Colorado post-game MELTDOWN Thread

im optimistic about capello. idk why. he looks like a colt mccoy type size... coaches say he's very accurate. .. and can make plays with his feet.

have you guys watched JT warm up? my god... he can't pass (*at least in warm ups*)

edit: no, i do know why im optimistic about capello... because i want to be optimistic about an ISU QB.. and im not about tiller

turnovers and not taking advantage of opportunities. yes the o-line was terrible, but AA sure didnt take advantage when they did block everyone. lot of mis-reads too; needs to keep the zone read roughly 50% of the time. I dont remember him keeping it once.
O line? What oline?

Perhaps, but there have been three games this year where ISU has looked like they would really rather be doing something other than playing a FB game. ISU might be outmanned, and there is nothing that can be done on game-day about that, but the team can always show up ready to play, and that's the job of the coaches.

I guess, but why would the coaches fail to motivate for those games?

This is season two, you act like this has been happening for years. All the fire in the world wouldnt have gotten the dust off these guys today.
This team has been a roller coaster ride, how is this not the fault of the coaching staff?

I wanted to be the one to start a big thread, lots to work on for next week.

Both the OL and DL should be embarrassed. What a disappointing effort by almost the entire team and coaching staff.

Better get it screwed on tight. MU is way better than CU.

This is a great example of why you never underestimate your opponent.

This game was bad timing for ISU. Colorado had the emotional firing that they could rally around, and we were coming off a devastating loss.

The fumbled punt return was the nail in the coffin. That allowed them to get momentum after half and we could never recover.

i thought Tiller looked much better out there. No other positives in my opinion. We are playing to be in some meaningless Bowl, so let's not over react. A Bowl game this year would be great, but it's not like we are going for the National Championship. Love the way our Defense plays, and am looking forward to getting better and better every year.

Colorado came out with more emotion to day than we did. Rhoads even mentioned coming out of the half that the defense needed to play with more emotion.

We didn't get the early lead that we needed to in order to burst CU's bubble.

Both the lines played like crap. CU was in our backfield more than Arob was. Hawkins had all day to throw. The 1 or two times that we got pressure, he folded, but we couldn't do it consistently.

I don't know why, but it's happened and the coaches need to learn from it and correct it.

I just dont think this team has had enough talent and depth to be consistent week after week. We have seen some great things, but they just cant maintain it every week with no rest. The program as a whole failed today, this is true.

I agree that ISU is lacking talent and depth. No matter how badly a team with more athletic ability is playing or being coached, more talent and athletic ability gives that team a huge advantage. In the Big 12 right now, ISU will be at a talent and athletic ability disadvantage in nearly every game.

This is also why I wouldn't bet against UT making a bowl game. They have a talented roster, and the've shown that their talent can win against good competition (NU).

As I have mentioned before. I think we are still a couple years short of really seeing what this staff can do. I give the current roster a huge applause regardless. They played their guts out the past couple of years. It an absolute bummer of Arnaud really is out for his career.

Well that pretty much stunk from every angle. I don't know how you could have a more complete loss. CU dominated in every phase but punting.

Too lazy to read the whole thread, but this team, coaches and players was not prepared for this game at all.

One question......why did ISU take a knee to end the first half? To me, that was just weak. It says to AA and the offense..."we have no confidence in your ability to make a big play at all". Why not take at least one shot down field, or run a trick play or something? What do you have to lose? Honestly, when I saw AA take the knee I thought.......well, they have given up.
