OFFICIAL Colorado post-game MELTDOWN Thread

I've lost 70 million credits on ISU this year. Down to three Million I'll put all me credits on Mizzu that way ISU will win for sure.

feeling terrible tonight as I'm sure they do, will be back next Saturday and hope I can help by screaming my freaking head off.

At least Texas was ranked when we beat them. It bothers me that wins over ranked teams are the rankings at the time you play them and not the end of the year. Beating a ranked team sometimes means that team shouldn't have been ranked.

I'm ashamed of your post. Get over yourself. This team is running out of gas. We have already overachieved and I'm hoping we can do it one more time. Virtually every team in the country has 1 or more games like this a year. I'm sure our coaches worked just as hard last week as they have all the rest. These players and coaches have battled all year and I'm not going to start bagging on them now. In my opinion this is the best coached ISU team I have seen in a long, long time.

I hope I didn't offend too much but I'm seeing too many positive things happening to start taking digs at the team....I'm behind them all the way. I'm sure they feel worse than you or I do.

Just because we are embarrassed or disappointed by the Clones today, which we should be, doesn't mean we are bailing on the team. I guarantee CPR didn't go into the locker room and tell the guys he is proud of them today. We played like crap today...uninspired crap. There are a lot of wonderful things happening to this program, but today was a step back.

We also need to get out of the mentality that this is overachieving. The games we won this year, we should have won. We also should have kicked the crud out of CO today. We also should have probably beat KState and Nebraska...that isn't overachieving. We need to raise our expectations, with realism, but raise them either way because that is what makes a tier 1 program.

I love Rhoads because he isn't going to blow sunshine up our ***** when we suck, but he also is the guy who will get these guys ready for next week. We, as fans, need to be supportive for sure, but still honest. To be honest, there is a moment every year when I want to stop being a Cyclone fan and anybody on here who tells you different is lying...I still buy my season tickets every year, fly the IState flag in front of my house every week, and wear my IState polos to work...in Omaha... and show up on this site to commiserate with those who understand. Don't bag on us because we should have been embarrassed today.

I feel sorry for coach Hoiberg when he loses his first game.

Someone needs to get over himself, and it's not 22.

That was an embarrassing performance against a truly awful team. Stop making excuses for it.

They are not an awful team! Poorly coached for sure, but they have a ton of talent. It was a matter of time for them to find a spark. Its just too bad they didnt fire Hawkins next week.

If ISU is running out of gas, shouldn't Colorado been suffering from the same problem?

Our team gets major props and pats on the back for excellent performances. It is completely fair to be disappointed in them for a very poor showing.

It might help understand this better if you tune in the OSU-UT game in Austin...

Watched it. Texas and CU are equally bad. The fact that we dominated Texas and were dominated by CU is very sad.

Well put....nm

Well, we overperformed all season for what we have with lack of depth and CU underperformed for what they have in better talent. Hard to run out of gas when you werent using it to begin with. And yes, they can be criticized for lack of care, they definitely could have shown up even if they still came up short.

A few things: this team left everything out on the field against the Huskers, players were gassed from the NU game and then you add in the altitude of CU, that spells disaster, CU was a letdown game for us not CU, and finally players wont come out and say it but did they second guess CPR's calls at the end of the game?

Why would you think the players second guessed his calls?

I dont know, how do you think Arnaud felt about the coaches taking the ball out of his hands at the end of the game? Not saying they did second guess the coaches, but we are talking 18-22 year old guys.

We are 3-4/5-6..........in Rhoads second season after previous coach jets......with the nations toughest schedule......in a position to make a bowl.....and we have a meltdown thread? Is this a Hawk or Cyclone site................I forget!

Taking the ball out of his hands at the end of the game? Yeah they probably should have let him throw it from the bench while the trainers worked on his leg. Good call.

Can we please stop referring to this season as the nation's toughest schedule? We all know at the beginning of the season it appeared to be the nation's toughest but as the season has progressed it clearly has not developed into one of the toughest.
