***OFFICIAL BIG 12 EXPANSION THREAD 2.0***

I don't see Boise State or SDSU either. SDSU does not add a new market and Boise State adds a very small market. If they want to expand in the short-term (not saying they do), I would go to UNLV, New Mexico and Houston. Those would be three new markets and get them into Texas. Maybe only add Boise State if they get those 3. But that would be like getting the consolation prize when you were shooting for the stars.

Why not BYU...they seem to be a logical addition with a bigger national following especially among western states.

Barfknecht: Trying year around Big Ten - Omaha.com

The press box at Lucas Oil Stadium buzzed with rumors about who the Big Ten commissioner might pick as expansion targets to reach 16 schools. One thing we know is that a lot of people around the league won't know for sure until it happens. Multiple sources said some Big Ten athletic directors were unaware of the Maryland and Rutgers decisions until the morning of the announcement.

The consensus speculation is that Delany is still on the hunt for two more schools. Among possible targets: North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt.
Let's get this baby rolling today.

I would just like the NCAA to blow up all the conferences, then pick 4 new conference leaders and have a fantasy football draft to pick new conferences. Then all this maddness could be over in 1 massive made for TV deal.

Then noone picks ISU, and we go to the Mountain West. Great Idea.

I saw something on twitter about Eric Barron (FSU prez) called out our favorite WV blogger during a booster meeting, basically saying he's full of **** and just trying to draw site traffic....anyone know the details of what went down?? I hope this is a sign this guy may really have some inside information but probably not haha

FSU's refusal to sign the $50 million buyout clause speaks much louder than Barron's denial spin.

If there was no truth to it he wouldn't have addressed him at all. Is FSU happy with their bowl this year? Me thinks not. They will have trouble getting into a playoff until it's expanded (inevitable) as well.

Our favorite dude of wv says FSU, Miami, Clemson and NC State have Big 12 invites. FSU and Miami are waiting for Georgia Tech to bolt--if they do. Then they're ours. Clemson and NC State will be holding out hope for an SEC bid, and we're the back up plan if that doesn't work out.

Stereotypes might be "fun", but it is widely known that Stanford and Cal strongly object to even discussing BYU's admittance into the Pac 12 solely on the basis that BYU is a religious university.
That makes them all atheists and agnostics. Clearly. Carry on.
