***Official 2023 Chicago Cubs Thread***

I get you can’t argue replay, but that was worth an explosion for. Complete incompetence by the umpires, and even worse by the replay officials.
 
What a crap sports day. Where is the heart of these teams? Cubs had chance after chance after chance, and didn’t take it. Patterns are emerging, and they aren’t promising.
 
Probably not actually making the playoffs, huh? What a way to end the year, by completely falling apart.

Looking like it. Completely caving….not showing up in the clutch moments and then everything needs to be perfect to win. Wonder if Ross has been hanging out with Campbell? Kidding…but the similarities are there.

We really need to go 5-1 or better against Pirates and Rockies after this series. Typical Cubbies shitting the bed.
 
I’ve said it before, but there is not a player in the organization I want up less than Morel with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs, yet we love putting him in spots where he’s expected to produce runs in that very situation.

He should NEVER bat 1 or 2 spots behind Hoerner, Happ, and Belli.

Swanson single handedly lost is the game yesterday with half assing a pop up and hitting a lazy grounder to the pitcher with 1 out and a runner on 3rd.

He’s cost us multiple runs today not knowing what to do when the ball was hit to him.

His brain needs a break.

Morel at 2B and Hoerner at SS doesn’t mean Wisdom or Master need to start, though I’m not opposed to Wisdom hitting. Anything to give Swanson’s brain a break from costing us games

Davey has run this team into the ground. Swanson needed tonight off and Nico needed Tuesday. Not using the off day to your advantage is criminal.
