Abdullah has been on borrowed time for a couple seasons now. The contract he signed made it very easy to cut him, and with the way they drafted two different players with kick return capabilities this year, the writing was on the wall
Agree. Was only surprised because the Viking coaches were talking Abdullah up big time just this week.

I'm a little surprised that Beebe got cut. Was hoping they would finally get rid of Rashod Hill, but he may end up starting at left tackle. Ugh, that guy is awful.
