***Official 2021 Vikings***

It's interesting how much rehiring of failed coaches happen in the NFL. Seems like the top 2 from the article below were failed head coaches in the past. I almost wonder if the GM is more important than the head coach after watching the VIkings defense the last 2 years. Zimmer knows defense and I'm sure he knew he had bad players but somehow wasn't able to correct it to save his job.

All my Vikings friends up here are beside themselves with the little or no apparent interviews of candidates with offensive backgrounds. This story of Bowles being a leader will make their heads pop off their shoulders.

Vikings hiring a defensive head coach is the most Vikings thing to do. The rules and schemes currently greatly favor the offense, which means smart money is to invest there. Vikings have a franchise WR and RB currently, and many great weapons. People love scoring, give them a show. Have a decent defense where you only pay for stars that can rush the passer or are corners. Other than that? Go for adequate. Look at what KC and Buffalo did to great defenses. Defense no longer wins championships. You have to have the capacity to score over 30 if you want to win it all now.

I'd rather bring back Clint Kubiak than hire Todd Bowles...

Letting the triple crown winning WR get open, TWICE on the most important drive of the year is inexcusable...
The Chiefs are really good at letting WRs single handedly torch them over and over as well. I'm not a football coach on any level and even I know that there are some players you better double cover as much as possible.

Honestly, I think the Vikings will have cousins for one more year. Who is going to agree to his contract? He is the same cost as Aaron Rodgers. Which would you bring in for a 1 year mercenary?

If Cousins gets traded, it would be with a restructured contract.

I'm not excited about him but not sure his team completely melting down disqualifies him either. I'd have to know exactly what was called and said to know. Still, O HC please! Offense! Damn it Vikings

I really really felt like this was just a hot take to stir the pot a bit. I hope none of it is true and we're just getting smoke blown up our *** here.

KAM is an analytics first guy which will be a breath of fresh air after the Mike Zimmer "Run the ball more" era.
