***Official 2021 Vikings***

Could be juvenile but I still can't find myself getting excited for a guy hired from Cleveland ******* Browns organization.
Agree... the guy is an intellectual grad from Princeton. Book smart is not always a recipe for greatness. The last time the Vikings chased an intellectual type, they got Ponder. Yeah that worked out.

Matt Birk graduated from Harvard and he was quite successful with the Vikings.
See, I can make invalid comparisons to try to make a point, too.

He was not a good QB but it always seemed like Ponder is one of the few NFL quarterbacks that I would have been comfortable hanging out with.

I was referring to the QB position... but that year was a really bad year for QB's regardless. Can Newton went #1 overall (vikes had no chance), then the rest of the QBs taken in the 1st round: Locker, Gabbert, then Ponder. 2nd round: Dalton, Kaepernick.

I am so excited for this GM pick. The guy is incredibly intelligent and a fast riser within the league. Crazy that he was a commodities trader less than a decade ago and is now our GM. A big change of pace from Rick as he is more analytics driven.

Now that GM is locked down who is everyone's picks for HC? I really like Raheem Morris but wouldn't be upset with Kellen Moore, Brian Daboll or Kevin O'Connell

I'm growing on the idea of Demeco Ryans as HC, but honestly don't really care. I trust Kwesi and the Wilfs to bring in the best guy

We really should have read more into Vikings COO Andrew Miller being the lead guy in this search for a HC and GM. He came to Minnesota in 2019 by way of the Toronto Blue Jays. In Toronto he lead their analytics overhaul as an organization. Not shocking that he went with a HEAY analytical guy for GM.

First question I want Vikings press to ask is who will have final control over the draft and roster. Future HC or GM. That needs to be established from today on. Get everyone on the same page and lets move forward

This is QUITE juicy!!

Second round pick and Baker for Cousins? Thoughts? Personally I would want a first. But there is no way someone pays a 1 for Cousins

How hard would it be to move on from Baker if he sucks here?

I would definitely take a 2nd and Baker for Cousins. Baker didn't have a very good year, but he doesn't irritate nearly as much as Cousins does. He can at least feel pressure, tries to avoid it, doesn't constantly fumble, and seems like a better leader. Yeah, he's going to throw more picks and ground balls, but you at least feel like you've got a chance.

Of those four, I'd take O'Connell. But I think KAM will end up with Ryans.
A little surprised that Bienemy is not on many HC lists.

It was pretty glaring that he interviewed with 5 teams last year but didn't receive an offer. With his past transgressions and the fact that he doesn't call plays I'm happy we aren't after him

I don't but I'll have to be hopeful.

Is there a chance that Bienemy is off lists this year because he doesn't want to go anywhere?

I keep hearing that he 'shares' play calling.

Baker does have those insurance commercials... They are fairly amusing.
Whats KC got? Covid?
