Damn. It was fun.Sounds like $14M. And a no trade clause so all that speculation goes out the window.

I mean, he effectively had a no trade clause already. With a deal set to expire after the 2022 season, he could have effectively nixed any trade he didn't like by publicly refusing to sign an extension with that new team. Between that leverage and his cap number this year, he could have driven down the compensation a ton if he didn't like the destination.Damn. It was fun.
Was hoping the new contract would not only deal with the cap, but also be written to give the Vikes more flexibility. Thought more guaranteed money might have forced him to give up on the no-trade. Very disappointing.I mean, he effectively had a no trade clause already. What are your thoughts on Phillips? He hasn't been all that productive and has had injury issues. $19.5M for 3 years is not a horrible deal, but maybe a little too much.So far, tendered K Greg Joseph, signing Bills' DT Harrison Phillips and cutting DT Michael Pierce.
Need some OL.
Also lost S Xavier Woods and G/C Mason Cole.

Vikings signed LB Jordan Hicks from Arizona. He appears to be an Anthony Barr replacement, as the speculation is that Barr is too pricey for Minnesota.

Lol. Ok that makes sense. I thought he was saying that they wanted the Vikings to cut Ezra Cleveland, who I thought he mistakenly was saying plays center. Stupid people with names the same as cities...![]()
