***Official 2017 Transfer Thread***

Looking at the transfer list, am I correct in my assumption that every player in college basketball has asked for his release this year?

Good news for us. We have a lot of positive things going for us that would make us attractive to transfers right now, and I think there are an awful lot of good ones available. Should be able to snag a couple good ones.

It sounds like Prohm is confident in our guards and wants to make sure any transfers are home runs. That says to me he's confident in the roster, potential JUCOs and his staff's recruiting. I'd still like to see us get Shayok or Morrow. I think he may be a little gunshy after Bowie and Holden. In Hines' interview, it sounded like Prohm was uncomfortable with the mid-season musical chairs at the 5.

I like to think they're evaluating who they want to target.

Of course. When I said 'what', it meant 'what type of player or transfer' are we actually seeking? Perhaps I should have worded that... " 'Who' are we waiting for"? Obviously we have to be selective.

Not really insider info so I feel like it's okay to share. Alex Halsted just posted this on 247

"Didn't get much insight into the thought process other than it sounds like a sit-out would be frontcourt most likely"

From the Hines interview I'd say it's more of a contentment with being young and treating next year as a reset (rather than reloading) than it is confidence.

If next year is a reset lets go with what we got and take four wit out guys. Like the Royce white sitnout year.
