***Official 2016 Transfer Thread***

Announcements of transfers are heating up.
Very talented guard that could be interesting.

@joshuaparrott Fordham G Jon Severe (@Jsevere23) to transfer. 7.6 ppg as 6-2 JR. 6.7 ppg as SO. 17.3 ppg as FR. Parade All-American at ****** the King (NY)

Now I really want to know what that starred out word is.

Agreed that we don't need two grad transfer SF's. We already have Bowie and Burton who can both play the 3 or 4. Also, with so many guards we will probably have Matt at the 3 quite a bit, so I don't see us recruiting Arians.
Bowie won't be playing the 3 unless we're in deep ****. He's a post player all the way.

NIU website lists him as a Wing on the roster and a lot of places have him listed as a G/F. My guess is you see him in a similar role to Burton's this year in terms of position.

4 star power forward.

@GoodmanESPN Arizona State’s Savon Goodman will transfer and be able to play next season, source told ESPN. Averaged 10 and 6 last year.

Yes, please. Savon Goodman is a legit high major player. Just a freaking beast for his size inside and a fantastic rebounder. I think he probably ends up at a pretty good bball school out east.

Random question, but was just reading back through some comments and was curious. Why is it such a normal thought to think that Cam Lard is not coming? I might have missed something, but I love what he would bring, and hope he plans on still staying committed.

That's basically the message that guys who would have more knowledge on the situation like CW, Hines, Halsted, etc. have been sending about him and his academic issues.

A player who used to be a guard but got moved to wing because he grew is a "post all the way"?.

Obviously he's going to mostly play the 4 because of all the players we already have who can play 1-3, but hes more of an Ejim/Houge who is a 3 but plays the 4 in our lineup.

I could be wrong, but I don't think he even played basketball this year in High School. I've heard mixed things though, everyone says it's grades, but supposedly the reason he didn't play this year is because he transferred schools and his old school didn't like it so they were able to block him from playing since I guess you aren't supposed to transfer in High School only to play for a different team, or something a long those lines. Weird situation either way. Hope he makes it though.

He didn't play this year because of the transfer issue and he probably won't play D1 next year due to grades.

Does anyone know the reason why our staff offered Lard? It seems pretty obvious he wasn't going to make it here from the beginning; was it just a situation that he would remember us offering when he is out of JUCO?
