***Official 2016 Transfer Thread***

Tramaine Isabell and Namon Wright are transferring from Missouri.

Namon Wright was a 4 Star top 75 kid out of HS. Would have to sit a year but that may setup well with Naz, Matt and (hopefully) Monte leaving after next season.

These 2 are intriguing, Wright has great size and averaged over 5 rebounds a game last year. He would be a nice piece to have waiting in the wings after Naz and Matt are gone. I'd like having Wright and Jacolby Long on the wings. 2 big physical guards.

For as few points and minutes he has accumulated I believe he led his team in blocked shots his sophomore year with minimal playing time.

I do agree a smaller more productive big would be more ideal but I wouldn't lose track of this guy.

If you can't play at Wake Forest you're not going to play at Iowa State. He will go mid major or lower

I'd guess he'll go mid major, weird that a big guy wouldn't want to stick it out for a coach who is known for his development of bigs. If we didn't already have Bowie, I'd be really interested but right now, this kid doesn't look like much of an upgrade. Unless the coaching staff sees something they like, I'd rather take my chances on the law office of Carter, Ernst and Young.

Wake Forest has a couple of freshman bigs that are going to be really good. Washington wouldn't see the floor.

Especially having already snagged Bowie, consider me opposed to any grad transfer under 6'9"

Do you think that the Drakes and Coppin States of the world are teeming with 6'9" graduates with the ability to play in the Big12? They just aren't out there. Mississippi got Gielo from Liberty last year, but he's incredibly soft,
Thorne was a great pickup by Illinois but he got hurt, and Pitt picked up a couple of 6'9" stiffs that were good at smaller schools but were bit players in the ACC. These small schools have guards and 6'5" PFs that can play but they really don't have the bigs.

Yep. I've posted this before, but it fits in this thread. Max Bielfeldt would be on the list too, it came from his thread. There's literally only a handful of "bigs" that make a difference.

I counted 12 PFs or Centers that were immediately eligible transfers, that transferred up from a lower mid major, or laterally to another power 5 or notable basketball team.

Notable transfers, some came up on CF last spring:

-Mark Tollefsen San Fran to Arizona- avg. 8 pts and 3 rebs in 25 minutes per

- Mike Thorne Charlotte to Illinois- Injured now, but was 13 and 8 for 8 games

-Tomasz Gielo Liberty to Ole Miss- 9 & 4 at 25 minutes per

-Anton Grady Cleveland St to Wichita St- 7 & 5 @17

-Tyler Harris Providence to Auburn- 14 & 8 @ 28

-Shonn Miller Cornell to UCONN- 13.5 & 5.5 @26.5

-Chris Olivier Eastern Illinois to Oklahoma St- 8.5 & 3 @16.5

stefan jankovic from Hawaii would be perfect if he decided to Transfer. Heard Hawaii players can transfer and be immediately eligible.

Was just going to post about Jankovic. Would be very ideal for ISU. Already has his degree from what I've heard so he would be able to play immediately no matter what. He also played with Naz in AAU FWIW. Will be one to keep an eye on.

Hmm...

@goodmanESPN Harvard forward Patrick Steeves will transfer — and could be a grad transfer with two years of eligibility. Averaged 9 ppg and 4 rpg.

Re@jeffbrazillo Has been on the radars of some high-majors the past couple months.

Would be an awesome get, but I'm guessing the competition for him will include some other high profile schools. Hopefully he considers the good guys

The game Friday is so important for next season...if we can get to elite eight, or more so Final 4, the publicity of our program will really give us a great chance in snagging a top grad transfer big I would think....
