I don't know if the article saying the Bulls haven't formally contacted Hoiberg is good or bad. I'm confused, really confused.
I'm quite sure that there have been lines of communication between the two parties that are not considered formal.

Never take public statements or things like them at face value.
They've certainly been in contact with Fred's agent, probably for a number of months. They haven't had the face-to-face talk with Fred (possibly) because they still don't have an opening.
Never take public statements at face value. There's always a much more important story that actually means something beyond those comments.
At least we know that neither Niang or Thomas are in Ames so looks like those posters who claimed all the players traveled back to have a meeting with Hoiberg were dead wrong.
That includes Randy Pete from the Rag posting on Twitter that his sources said that Hoiberg called a meeting with his players last night. He was wrong? That is shocking. :wideeyed:

He Gone
(Stage #5 of Loss and Grief: Acceptance)
Wait, just so I'm following your hypothetical, my name is Fine? and I'm married to Dandy?
If this is the case, then my answer is I would get a divorce immediately. No way I'd be married to the he/she.
We may want to prepare for 5 stages of grief with announcement of next coach, too. Just in case.
Because the East is an easy path to the NBA Finals to get beat by whoever comes out of the West. Apparently that's a big deal.
I HATE PANDY RETERSON!
Congrats Dandy?
I hate you so much. I'll sign the divorce papers too but I get half of everything.
Anyone else holding out this is just CFH letting the hype brew to then make us all breathe a sigh of relief as he commits to us making the final 4 next year?
Lots of chatter at work about this with coworkers...what we all came to realize is this is a reminder that college athletics is a business....back in the day (like the Orr era), you may have made decisions based on story lines, loyalty, etc..now it's a business..even for folks like Freddy.
