Why the butthurt ballzz? Don't let the situation hanging over all of our heads cloud your judgement. Nothing changed and nothing changes no matter what anyone says here. Some people appreciate that info and some don't, but only a few people get all butthurt about it like you and IAStubborn.

Butthurt? People still use that? Interesting. Anyways. Sorry I offended you by not kissing the feet of a guy with a Mr Feeeze Photoshop.

Situation hanging over who's head? Not hanging over mine. He coaches guys to put an orange ball through a hoop.

Yes, have you never been to HN?

Fred does owe Iowa State 8 more years of coaching from his 10 yr contract. I get they don't always work out but after signing that and saying how much this job meant he leaves after 2 yrs and losing to UAB?

I could not disagree more.

Fred was upfront with his NBA calling from day 1.

Fred used ISU as a proving ground as a player to showcase his talent to play at the NBA level.

He did the same with coaching. He entered into contract (with a buyout?) and not a forced labor camp.

Be dissapppinted if you want, but we should be happy for the man

If I could be mod for a day like the GTO poll suggested, "butthurt" would get the ban hammer. Also "he gone."

Interesting take.

Or the buyout that is also stated in the contract.

What I don't understand is Fred basically asked JP for the job, right? So at the time JP held all the power yet the NBA buyout was only 500k. Once Fred got his first new deal why wasn't the buyout increased? It's not like Fred would bail after two years because of the NBA buyout being $2 million or something. Plus it's not like Fred was going to pay that - whoever hires him would pay Iowa State. If an NBA team wanted him bad enough $2 million isn't that much.

BOW DOWN TO MATTY ICE.

He wasn't wrong... Except for the stuff he was wrong about.

Hey Ballz don't be jealous that you don't have awesome sources that are wrong about every single thing they tell you. Not all of us can be as connected as some on here.

I think the second time around (after McDermott), Jaime wanted Fred, and Fred was probably honest that ISU was just a stepping stone to the NBA.

Could have used Fred's 2 million from the NBA towards buying out Rhoads' contract!

As an Iowa State fan I will be happy for things that positively affect our school, players and fans. Hoiberg leaving hurts all of those and quite frankly it is going to hurt them a lot. If he does leave I'm not going to root against him but I'm certainly not going to be happy for him.
