Official 2014 Recruiting thread

So...what you're saying is that he'll have the second most offers--which has very little to do with how good he is or isn't.

I mean, seriously, one hint that number of offers isn't all that important should be one thatisn't on his list. Just look at his hometown. I'm pretty sure Florida knows a little bit about wide receivers.

This looks like one who may have overstated his offers. Refer to our Mister discussion. I would be sort of surprised these are commitable offers. My clue would not so much be that Florida didn't offer-their class is loaded with 4 and 5 star guys, including 3 WR's, 4 DB's and an ATH, so probably not room if he was worthy. My clue would be that with all of these high-powered offers, his official visits have been to Utah, Indiana and Iowa State. Even if those are his primary "real" offers, I'd still like him. We seem to be well-stocked with WR's.

Is it just me, or is Rohach easily the best fit for Mangino? Our other QBs seem more like they'd fit with coach K's offense better. I trust Mangino can use and adapt to any QB he needs, but I think we start recruiting better passers.

Or just develop our QB's into good passers. No reason Rohach and Richardson shouldn't both be capable of being legitimate Big 12 starters and consistently completing 60 plus percent of passes with overall good numbers.

If only it were that easy. But yes grooming those talented runners into great passers would be best case scenario. I think Richardson has a great chance to pull it off though. Will be interesting to see those two battle it out.

We should see more production and stability after this battle, so that'll be nice.

Adding Kenric Young will ease the pain if Tommy Mister chooses to not come to ISU.
1. I think we get Mister and it is more likely than us even taking Young. 2. I think young is a back up at this point should we miss on other higher need positions because he is still a talent. But because this is a great class for receivers not many spots left for young (he waited too long).

3.Based on his final 5, further proof the bcs schools cooled on him after summer (including us for a while). He would be our 8th best recruit per scout's updated rankings and 3rd best reciever in this class. Still a solid get but given our needs would not be anywhere near a Mister, JT Gray, Moala, Outing etc. level recruit for us at this point and certainly not "easily our second biggest recruit" imo.

Mark can utilize both qbs. He may use both.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to see what he'll do with all of the QB's we have. Not saying that any of them need to move or switch positions, but he took Kerry Meier from QB to one of the top WR's in the league. The guy knows how to use what he has in the best way possible.

4.3 40 time. Only 1 other BCS offer. 5.7 rating which I believe is highest 3 star rating you can get. Just under recruited?
