Official 2014 Recruiting thread

This is a better back than the other two options. I expect him to wait a long time and eventually get a "bigger" offer than here. This will be Lou's first recruiting test.
 
He is a higher rated recruit than Tommy Mister. Would love to have them both if possible. Like others have said, he was a risk academically but offers will start rolling in for this kid. Hope his visit with Lazard and Wesley along with Ayeni and Mangino coaching/recruiting now can sway him our way! Heard he was like 3rd or 4th string until this year and then he broke school records. Great size too..very similar measurables as Mister.

a huge get. Because he didn't play a down until his senior season he flew completely under the radar and even among those that evaluated him did so early in the season. Also having not attended camps etc. he is likely undervalued in his ranking/rating (even though he is just shy of 4*) That coupled with late qualifier made him not a huge target. Toledo was on him first and that is huge for us now. Check out the OU boards he was one of the most discussed potential recruits before they landed mixon. Seems to bea huge potential steal.

This is not true. Where did you come up with this? He started several games late season at running back as a junior, and played defense as well.

I read he was 4th string as a junior. I guess I shouldn't have said he never played a down but from everything I saw in several places he didn't play much at running back as a junior.

He started out the season as fourth string. Was starter something like the last four games, IIRC.

Ok, I didn't see that anywhere. Had read a scout piece and the OU message boards and they just said he was 4th string and didn't play much (which I guess doesn't contradict what you are saying so shouldn't have assumed he didn't play all season).

His Rivals profile has both seasons' stats at the bottom, says he played 9 games as a junior. Oh, and the 8.8 ypc then is also impressive. :wink:
