Note to Jon Miller

Playing Iowa is a real detriment to ISU actually. We'd be a lot better off scheduling cupcakes for all of our non-conference games.

As far as Iowa fans and their arrogance... it's about as bad as it gets. How soon they forget how awful they were not too long ago when they won 1 game one year. When was the last time Ohio St, USC, Florida, Alabama, Texas, etc won only one game all year?

How soon they forget about ISU owning them. There were ISU football players that never lost a game against Iowa in their entire four year careers.... less than 10 years ago.

How soon they forget that they only had to beat Western Michigan at home only a few years ago to make a bowl game.... and got it handed to them?

How soon they forget KF's record against ISU? Iowa is not a top 20 football program overall. They've had some really good seasons, but not consistently enough to be as good as they all think they are.

I loved watching Indiana beat the Hawks last night on the Big 10 Network when Iowa was ranked #15. Like usual... they were overrated.

I have really noticed ISU is a threat to Iowa. They have been a team that wants to get to the next level, but they think that having another D1 school in the state is holding them back

A local sports talk show in Omaha had a hawk fan mention that ISU moving to a lessor conference will allow them to retain all of the good instate recruits. Therefore they willbe better and will welcome Nebby into the Big10 so they can beat up on them.

Listen hawk fan this is not Nebraska where the only D1 program is in Lincoln. ISU is a D1 program in a BCS conference and that helps the STATE of Iowa.

ISU in the Big10 would further help the STATE of Iowa financially. It just would not fit into the fantasy of not wanting to share the limelight.

A huge part of ISU's problem is the attitude of Iowa fans. What's happening here is that Iowa and the Big Ten are making a grab for money and influence. They're doing it at the expense of other conferences knowing full-well that certain institutions will suffer. In short, Iowa grabs more revenue through the Big Ten expansion by screwing ISU and others. It really is that simple.

If you thought you disliked Iowa fans before, you should despise them now.

That includes Jon Miller and other members of the media that have openly, or not-so-openly, pledged allegiance to Iowa. This includes KXNO and WHO as a whole. What would be happening today if people at these stations actually cared about ISU? Or if somebody at the Register actually cared?

Its time that ISU fans quit doing business with these entities. They are willing partners in the demise of ISU. Stop listening and stop buying from their advertisers.

You do not see those fans coming on CF using that logic to discredit that ISU's overall AD was in better shape than Iowa's in 09-10.

Wait a minute. You added something new to the mix (or I just didn't pick it up the first time)

Now that I couldn't argue. ISU had a better overall year in athletics than Iowa did.
Although personally, I'd still take Iowa's (because like most fans I only care about a few sports) but top to bottom ISU did better.

The Big Ten is made up of 11 teams currently....why are you holding Iowa responsible for the actions of the other ten teams? My understanding is that each school will have to vote regarding new members. Even if Iowa were to vote yes for ISU to become a member, it's not going to happen because of the other ten teams. The administrator's for Iowa are professionals and they are not out to destroy ISU (no matter what you believe). Sure, they are out to make their program stronger and they are out to make their conference stronger (who isn't). They wouldn't be doing their job if they weren't trying to raise more money and put themselves in a better position financially.

The Pac Ten is going to destroy the Big 12. They are looking at taking 6 teams. If the Big Ten were to take Nebraska and that is it, the Big 12 could survive and add another member.

Your hatred for Iowa has blinded you from what is really happening.

Worst is the fact that you never know what kind of school Iowa is. When Ferentz was struggling, and they hired Steve Alford they claimed they didn't care about football and were already clearing out the trophy case for all the hardware Alford was gonna bring. When they sucked at FB and BB both they hung their hat on Wrestling. Of couse the directors cup dosen't count because they aren't gonna win. Don't you realize Iowa has never lost a game really. You know all the excuses. If they wouldn't have had 30+ days off they would have beat USC in the OB, instead of losing by 30.

You're really bringing up a bowl game that happened 8 years ago? Iowa has had 3 seasons of double digit wins since that time plus a 9 win season to boot... but that's ok, you guys keep defending your cross country teams as proof of your superior athletic department.... I know that it's hard for you guys not knowing what it feels like to win 10 football games in a season, but really, it's a whole lot more gratifying than hanging your hat on cross country victories.

Iowa fans don't make a mess in their pants over wrestling?

Also, until 5-6 years ago all Iowa fans could talk about was Hayden Fry, Chuck Long, and Rose Bowls like they happend yesterday.

That's more proof of the long and storied tradition of Hawkeye football...

Hayden Fry 143-89-6 (0.616%), 3 Big Ten titles, 6 Bowl victories in 20 seasons.

Kirk Ferentz 81-55 (0.595%), 2 Big Ten titles, 5 Bowl victories in 11 seasons.

Kirk is gaining on "The Legendary One!"

hahaaaaaaaa.lmfao. can't stop!!!! Bear Bryant, Knute Rockne, Joe PA, Hayden Fry. 3 *** whippins in Pasedena. Legendary. I'll take Ferentz any day. You can have Ken O'Keefe though. I see him as hurting Iowa more times than not. I'm a Chiefs fan I know all about Marty Ball!

That would be 17 straight non-winning seasons, but who's counting? Fortunately for me... the Laterbur years are not part of my reality... when I was 7 years old, I was undeclared as to where my loyalties fell. I do remember the game where Bob (God rest his soul) beat Paterno in Happy Valley, 7-6... that's maybe when I became a true Hawkeye fan!!

First, it would also be two decades between winning seasons (19 seasons), but who's counting?

Second, you are not 7 now? Kidding
I do not remember anything before 1998, so everything before that is irrelevant, right? Wow this will make picking on fans a lot easier. Never again will I have to read Iowa fans on CF talk about ISU's football history...6 bowls in the 12 years, not horrible.

So how do you know Bob and Frank?
