They definitely won't do it at the request of Iowa State. Maybe for a bigger name school.
Kempt is health and stable. He will start. Bowl game practice is about the future, bowl games are about winning the game for your fans and seniors. Nothing against Zeb, but he is more likely to do something that causes a TO than Kempt at this point in time. Kempt has a lot of trust from the coaches and players, and you need that in a QB.
Especially against a team whose defense trys to survive by causing turnovers.
Yep, Kempt is pointless. Nevermind he's iSu's all-time season most accurate passer (66.8 percent) and delivers the ball with decisive speed unmatched by any other FBS quarterback (PFF: https://twitter.com/CycloneFB?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^author - about halfway down first page)

Nice stats, Kempt does not wow anyone with his arm strength, but the results are all we are looking for. Led the team to two of the best wins in school history too. Zeb will get his shot next year, or in this game if it gets out of hand or KK struggles, which is pretty unlikely if he is healthy.
Contempt for Kempt unjustified imo. He, along with Joel are two of the best stories in all of CFB this year. I hope he kicks ass in the Liberty and gets another year.
Definitely, but even though it doesn't make a lot of sense, I could see them granting the 6th year. They are so inconsistent with their rulings that nothing would surprise me.
I think there might be a better chance here than people think. The NCAA seems to be more and more lenient when it comes to coaching regime changes. Would love to have Kyle back but I think Noland is good enough to lead this team. Next season will be one for the ages.
What? I see no contempt for Kempt on this board or social media. There are a few who have respectfully pointed out that they'd rather have Zeb starting. Frankly, I disagree with them but I see no contempt in this thread.
I think he's given us our best chance to win at QB of any player since probably Seneca. Totally different player than Seneca, but that's how far back I'd have to go to have a QB I preferred. Maybe part of it is our WR talent but the guy was doing the things we needed to win when he was healthy.
After the travesty that was KSU this bowl game isn't just an experience thing but more of a must win. This team was better than 7-6. They earned 8 wins already, time to make it 8 wins on the historic record.
We are Iowa State, not an important/traditional insert sport here so the NCAA won't ever give us any help.
