Some people decided that they hated the new uniforms the day it was announced there were going to be new uniforms. They literally can't be 100% authentic. The goal is to create an homage while using constraints and parameters set by both current NCAA uniform rules and coach preferences.
And I think they did that fairly well.
I think they're pretty sweet too. They're better than what I expected.Goosebumps. Love it. Absolutely love it. Trice lives on in spirit. I even love the “Ames”
Hope they keep the color scheme at least.
I could do without the full uniform. I just wanna use the helmets 1 or 2 times a year. They should really wear this set once per year moving forward, or at least every 5 years
Yes, home game that is the closest to the day of his passing. These are for the TCU game yeah?
I assume because the uniform Jack trice would have been wearing had grey stripes on it... I think. I don't think they kept any of the other colors accurate besides the stripes. And maybe it looks better with the white numbers or something.I don’t get the gray. Why not stripes that match the pants.
Not wool, not authentic. I think if they screwed in grey cleats it would tie it all together.
I love the helmets and am glad we finally utilize one of our retro logos on them, even if it’s a simple one. I think it makes perfect sense to use the logo from the Jack Trice era on the helmets! Not a fan of the jerseys. Too busy looking with the numbers, stripes and background all different colors.
Love the helmet and pants, although would rather see "Cyclones" rather than "Ames"
