I think most fans prefer red, you look at the crowd during homes games it's all cardinal... yellow sucks when used too much on uniforms, it is what it is.Agree with you there. Jack had on a gold (yellow) jersey in the pic. But CMC HATES yellow... and CMC gets what CMC wants evidently.
Agree. So being 100% authentic isn't the goal. As the leather helmets didn't appear to have a logo or white in color. So we have made some compromises to authenticity for look.
If the goal is to blend Trice look with modern cool- all I'm saying is not a fan of the grey.
My guess this is a one-off jersey that will be auctioned off after the game. So I can understand the importance to use grey in the striping.
Well, it's not awful...
What type of fabric are they using? You can all disagree with this post, but it is the case
While the jersey is the new FUSE tailoring template, the fabric is definitely of a lesser quality - the seams look really bad
I'm not sure re: the pants tailoring, but again, the fabric is cheap
Also, the jersey is entirely screen printed
The stripes, of course, would have to be screened on, but the faux-stitched iron-on numbers would have looked higher-quality & also would have created a bit of pop & differentiation from the stripes - from afar & on television, especially two-digit numbers, will wash out - the front of the jersey will just look like a gray & white puddle...
A two-tone number would have helped too - maybe gold with a white outline or something like that (preferably not white with a black outline, b/c of the Ohio State jerseys... )
Too much gold and a bad era of cyclone football performance. I grew up going to games with those uniforms on the field.100% agree - if they're not willing to do gold jerseys, then they should stop with the Trice uniforms
Would also like to see a Walden era throwback, but probably too much gold...

That’s fair and so is my opinion. This is the argument I've never understood. Too much attachment of logo/uniform to performance.
The 2000-01 uniforms were terrible. But since ISU won, people like them.
Conversely, there was nothing aesthetically wrong with the late 80s/early 90s uniforms except the on-field result. That's not the uniform's fault.
The red was way too bright. Couple that with the new yellow/gold, and not a good look. The design was fine, shade of color wrong. IMO.Conversely, there was nothing aesthetically wrong with the late 80s/early 90s uniforms except the on-field result. That's not the uniform's fault.
What games will this be worn? All home games this fall?
This is the gold we should be using. This is the way
So, no nameplate on back?
Well, it's not awful...
