Is the "Loyal Sons Forever True" on the back of all the helmets or just the black? i love that detail a lot.
And the chrome tops I believe.

Only thing that bothers me is the general lack of actual design elements to distinguish us as Iowa State. Slap any other logo on this exact pattern, especially the black, and nobody could tell it's an ISU uniform.
Nike went pretty vanilla for us. Basically chose the colors, chose the number font, and added the ISU and Nike logos. Nothing more went into it.
I guess it's better than going crazy and taking a risk on something people might hate?
Remember when Oregon wore the duck costumes? Tell me a gold facemask & gold shoes/socks combo wouldn’t make a cool Cy costume... you nailed it @jdoggivjc!You know what would make the black collar/black facemask on the cardinal set make sense? This logo:

Even at Oregon there are three different greens between the jersey, the "O" decal and the mascot's shirt. And they are Nike U. I think it's just impossible to get the shiny helmet decal color to match the woven fabric color, and lighting plays a huge role too.
The all gold unis are terrible and always have been.
Grass stains will only be an issue for our opponents uniforms...
Am I the only one who came home & immediately fired up Teambuilder & NCAA14? I’ll share when I get the roster completed, if anyone is interested.
That would be pretty consistent with optics in general. The way that light is bouncing off the surface is probably impossible to achieve the same exact color across different surface topographies.Even at Oregon there are three different greens between the jersey, the "O" decal and the mascot's shirt. I know, yet there is always a post complaining about how helmets don't match jerseys. That would be pretty consistent with optics in general. The way that light is bouncing off the surface is probably impossible to achieve the same exact color across different surface topographies.
