Thanks for the work involved in this.
About the only mix and matches I like are the white jersey with the cardinal pants and either white or cardinal helmet. I also like the white jersey and white pants with the cardinal helmet.
I'm not a fan of the black with anything but the all black combo. Black helmet/cardinal jersey/black pants might be ok, I guess.
Is there any chance that they put a colored logo on the black helmet? Then the black helmet would go with all those combinations
Why are all these designs nowadays ditching pant stripes?
I can see having to ditch sleeve stripes because modern uniforms really lack much for sleeves, but why do they have to be gone from the pants, too?

These do look a lot better on the players with the helmet and pants included, I will say that.
But I still don't take back much I said last night. I liked the black jersey last night, and think the full black uniforms are awesome. And my complaint about the cardinal jerseys with the black collar still stands.
There was no reason whatsoever to have the collar black on the cardinal jersey. You can't make that argument at all IMO. The collar on the white jersey is SWEET, and it could be nearly the same on the cardinal if they had wanted. The other HUGE issue with the cardinal jersey, now that we see it with the helmet, is that it doesn't come close to matching the color of the helmet. The helmet matches the cardinal used to outline the numbers, but not the jersey. That is a huge mistake. We've never been able to match our cardinal helmet with our jersey, and this might be the biggest difference yet. PLEASE do not ever wear the red chrome helmet with this cardinal jersey-- that would be awful. Only wear the chrome lid with white or black jersey IMO.
By the way... the all white outfit might just be the best away uniform in the entire country IMO. It is awesome in every way.
My other problem is still no gold lid option. Maybe that will be a surprise addition later on? I hope so.

i saw all the combos picture. most look like a mix and match grab bag and not tied together.
i like them (not as much as out previous ones) but some *minor* tweaks could have really elevated them. Those tweaks would be to include the white, cardinal, and black on every top in order to make sure they can all match together.

I feel like the '80's style tornado in a gold paint would look great on that black helmet.
Please no, no, no! You want to mess up that perfect white jersey by putting some black on it somewhere? OMG no! The black on the red already ruins that jersey.
I would probably rather just never mix any of the black units (helmet, jersey, or pants) with any of the cardinal or white pieces before doing that.
A gold silhouette on a black helmet? No thanks. I like the black unis, but that would be way too close to Iowa.
Should have been cardinal outline on the numbers. I like the gray too, but it's missing something Iowa State-related.
It would be hard to match the red jersey with the black helmet or pants without the collar. For me it's such a small thing that I really don't care. Overall I think they're all better than our clown suit USC unis of the past.
Edit: one thing I will add that doesn't have anything to do with your original post is why the hell did it take two years for Nike to come up with this? They're very basic.
These ended up being much better than anticipated yesterday.

I get the feeling the red combo was an afterthought. All the effort went in to the blacks and whites.
