Um, there are non-BCS schools with better recruiting classes than we have. We're picking up scraps.

No, like 8 turnovers I believe 5 of which were within ISU's 10 yard line. That is an incredibly unlikely stat, and a huge advantage to ISU, and you still won by 2. As far as injuries, thats just part of the game. Nebraska gave all but 5 carries to it's 3rd string Back, and our QB was injured as well as many of the players on the O-line. So really that is a poor point to argue.
And I said that in my post, but I don't think the drop off is nearly as bad as UNIguy made it seem. I like Arnaud, I really do, but both QBs have games where they hurt the team more than help... Can't rip on Zac Lee's inconsistencies while praising Arnaud unless you conveniently forget the Iowa game.
No it isn't. Your depth of talent is much better than ours. Your drop offs were not huge. Zac Lee was still playing. AA never saw the field and neither did our 1200 yard back.
This is why I love CF; the fresh perspectives. NU fan thinks the Huskers will beat us next year. Great stuff.

You had that last year and lost. Lost in Lincoln. To a first year head coach. At lowly Iowa State. You can fill this thread with dozens of posts blathering about why it that NU will win but that's why they play the game isn't it? To give Husker fans a break from talking about how it is that they will win it?

Please stop with your recruiting knowledge. Just a little did you know. Its a very well known fact that on many occasions when a player signs with an Iowa/ISU, they are said to "lose" a star, but when they sign with a ND, they gain one.
It can be argued that a turnover itself is not luck, but as you stated a situation when preparation meets opportunity. 8 turnovers, 5 of which are within your 10 yard line, well that is damn close to being lucky.
We wont have as good of a player at DT as we did last year that's for sure, but we will have a preseason all American, and 2 CB's with pro-potential. We also will have a more experienced LB corp, and a great returning DE in Allen. As far as our secondary beinng inflated by Suh, I watched every game last year and honestly I feel our secondary helped Suh out just as much as he helped them.
I can remember one fumble that was not "ripped" out. You have to give us a little credit there. You probably won't, but whatever.
A very well known fact? It's an excuse from the people who follow recruiting rankings. "Oh, they're trying to screw my team!" 95% of the time, there's a reason the players we recruit aren't going to Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, etc. They've picked up the better players. We get what's left over after they've taken their pick.
Ok, no matter if we caused the fumbles, or if Niles Paul is just going to go off being a retard again, 8 is unlikely to happen again. I think we can agree on that.

Yes, I would agree. That wasn't my point. My point was that with an exception, they weren't just dropping the ball all willy nilly and we happened to be there.

So, if you take away our injuries and your turnovers, we still won... On your field.

Also, just because they are "scraps" now doesn't mean they can't develop. So yes, we get "scraps", but that doesn't mean we are screwed. Does that make you happy?
Yeah, I know. In the end, my point was just that if he wants to talk about Lee, then you have to look at our line and other sick players. Otherwise, you don't talk about either.
I still don't see how apples to oranges applies.
